KKN Gurugram Desk | The UP Board Exam 2025 is one of the most significant academic events in Uttar Pradesh, with millions of students appearing for their Class 10 and Class 12 exams. To ensure smooth and fair conduct, officials conducted an inspection of 10 exam centers in Prayagraj district. During the inspection, several irregularities were found, prompting the board to issue strict correction orders.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has directed the concerned authorities to fix these security and administrative loopholes before the exams commence.

UP Board Exam 2025: Key Issues Found During Inspection

The inspection team identified multiple violations in security protocols, missing records, and inadequate facilities. These irregularities could affect the smooth conduct of exams if not rectified in time.

1. Lack of Security for Reserve Question Papers

One of the biggest concerns was the improper handling of reserve question paper sets. At multiple centers, the keys to the cupboards storing these papers were not deposited at the local police station, violating strict security guidelines.

2. Missing Strong Room Log Books

Some exam centers did not maintain log books for their strong rooms. These records are essential for tracking and securing question papers and answer sheets.

3. Unauthorized Invigilators Without Proper Certification

Several exam invigilators at different centers lacked the required certification issued by the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS). This raises serious concerns about the credibility and efficiency of exam supervision.

4. Poor Infrastructure and Basic Facilities

In at least one exam center, the lighting system and seating arrangements were inadequate. Such deficiencies can cause discomfort to students, affecting their performance and concentration during the exams.

UP Board Issues Immediate Correction Orders

Following the discovery of these irregularities, UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh issued strict directives to address the problems immediately.

Actions to Be Taken

  1. Secure Storage for Reserve Question Papers: All exam centers must deposit their cupboard keys at the police station to prevent unauthorized access.
  2. Mandatory Strong Room Log Books: Each exam center is required to maintain a log book for tracking movement and handling of question papers.
  3. Certification of Invigilators: The DIOS has been instructed to verify the credentials of all invigilators before the exams begin.
  4. Infrastructure Improvements: Centers with poor lighting or seating issues must resolve these problems before the first exam date.

The UP Board has emphasized zero tolerance for negligence, and strict action will be taken against non-compliant centers.

Who Conducted the UP Board Exam 2025 Inspection?

The inspection was carried out by a high-level team of UP Board officials, including:

  • Apar Sachiv (Additional Secretaries): Vibha Mishra, Sardar Singh, Satyendra Kumar Singh, Skand Shukla.
  • Up Sachiv (Deputy Secretaries): Anand Kumar Tripathi, Shraddha Shukla, Sunil Kumar Singh, Nandini Srivastava, Dr. Poonam Mishra, and Chetan Tripathi.

These officials have been tasked with ensuring compliance with the board’s guidelines before the exams begin.

UP Board Exam Security Measures for 2025

The Uttar Pradesh government and UPMSP have been working on enhancing security measures to prevent paper leaks, cheating, and exam fraud.

1. CCTV Surveillance in Exam Centers

All examination centers are now equipped with CCTV cameras to monitor exam halls in real-time. This ensures that any suspicious activity is recorded and reported immediately.

2. Digital Lockers for Question Papers

To prevent paper leaks, UPMSP has implemented digital lockers for question paper storage. Exam center officials can only access these papers minutes before the exam under strict supervision.

3. Deployment of Special Task Force (STF) for Exam Monitoring

special police task force (STF) will be deployed at sensitive exam centers to prevent cheating and security breaches.

4. Strict Punishment for Rule Violations

Any school or exam center found guilty of misconduct will face severe penalties, including de-recognition. Staff members involved in negligence or malpractice may face legal consequences.

Previous Exam Controversies: Why Security is a Priority?

The UP Board exams have witnessed several cases of paper leaks and malpractice in the past. Some of the most recent cases include:

  • High School Mathematics Paper Leak: A Class 10 Mathematics paper was leaked in Etah district, spreading through WhatsApp groups before the exam.
  • Rapid Paper Leak in 2023: A question paper was leaked just an hour after the exam started, leading to massive disruptions and re-examinations.
  • Mass Cheating Cases in Certain Districts: In previous years, examiners have caught students using cheating methods, including hidden notes and digital devices.

Due to these incidents, UPMSP has strengthened security and monitoring systems to ensure a fair and transparent exam process.

How Many Students Are Appearing for UP Board Exam 2025?

This year, a record 24 lakh students have registered for UP Board’s Class 10 and 12 exams. The board is committed to conducting error-free examinations while ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.

Exam Statistics

  • Total Registered Students: 24 lakh+
  • Class 10 Students: Approximately 12.5 lakh
  • Class 12 Students: Approximately 11.5 lakh
  • Total Exam Centers: Over 8,000 across Uttar Pradesh

With such a large number of students, maintaining strict security and smooth administration is crucial.

UP Board’s Commitment to a Fair Examination System

The UP Board administration has assured students and parents that every necessary measure will be taken to prevent cheating, ensure security, and maintain transparency.

What Students Should Expect?

  • Better security at exam centers to prevent unauthorized access.
  • CCTV monitoring and invigilators with proper credentials.
  • Strict guidelines to prevent cheating and paper leaks.
  • Quick resolution of exam center issues before the first exam.

The board has reiterated its commitment to providing a stress-free and fair examination environment for all students.

The inspection of UP Board exam centers has revealed multiple issues, which the authorities are now working to resolve immediately.

With increased security, better monitoring, and strict guidelines, the UP Board Exam 2025 is expected to be more secure and transparent than previous years. The UPMSP and state administration are working hard to ensure that students can take their exams without fear of malpractice or unfair disadvantages.
