KKN Gurugram Desk | Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, is once again at the center of Bihar’s political storm. Despite being removed from both party and family circles, Tej Pratap continues to express deep affection for his father, mother Rabri Devi, and younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.

His emotional posts on social media, combined with Lalu Yadav’s past praises and Aishwarya Rai’s critical statements, have stirred widespread speculation about the authenticity of the family fallout.

What Triggered the Controversy?

Recently, Tej Pratap was formally ousted from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and was said to have been distanced from the family circle due to his erratic political behavior and personal controversies.

But contrary to expectations, Tej Pratap has neither lashed out at his family nor issued any aggressive public statements. Instead, he shared emotional messages, which have raised doubts about whether the entire episode is a genuine fallout or a strategic political drama ahead of elections.

Lalu Yadav’s Old Statements vs Present Actions

Public sentiment remains confused. Lalu Prasad Yadav, known for showering praises on his son Tej Pratap, had on many occasions described him in affectionate and spiritual terms. These statements seem inconsistent with the current hard-line action taken against him.

Lalu’s Past Remarks About Tej Pratap:

  1. “Tej Pratap is an avatar of Lord Krishna.”

“He plays the flute, he’s a spiritual soul. Just like Krishna,” Lalu once said.

  2. “He has a different energy.”

“There’s a charisma and passion in Tej that’s rare,” he remarked in 2022.

  3. “He’s a born politician.”

Lalu claimed Tej understood politics instinctively since childhood.

  4. “Like Krishna on the battlefield, Tej fights in his own style.”

A remark often used to justify Tej Pratap’s unconventional political conduct.

  5. “Both my sons are lions – Tejashwi is the wise lion, Tej Pratap is the wild one.”

  6. “Tej is emotional, but honest.”

Lalu acknowledged Tej’s emotional nature, calling it a sign of a clean heart.

These emotional and public endorsements of Tej Pratap’s qualities appear at odds with the decision to banish him from party and family affairs, fueling speculation that the move may be an orchestrated political stunt.

Tej Pratap’s Social Media Posts: Love, Loyalty, and Warnings

After his expulsion, Tej Pratap posted two emotional messages on social platform X (formerly Twitter), addressing his parents and brother in deeply affectionate terms. Nowhere did he express anger or disapproval.

First Post – For Lalu and Rabri Devi:

“My dearest parents, you are my entire world. You are greater than God. I need only your love and trust. Without you, there would be no party, no politics. Just stay healthy and happy.”

 Second Post – For Tejashwi:

“Those dreaming of separating me from my Arjuna (Tejashwi), you’ll never succeed. You can take Krishna’s army, but never Krishna himself. I will expose all conspiracies. I’m with you, my brother, always. Take care of our parents. Jaichands (traitors) exist — inside and outside.”

The Krishna-Arjuna metaphor used by Tej Pratap hints at loyalty, divine connection, and betrayal — a recurring theme in his political narrative.

No Harsh Words for Lalu or Tejashwi – Strategic Silence?

Interestingly, despite the alleged expulsion, Tej Pratap has refrained from criticizing his father or brother. His dignified silence and emotional tone have left many wondering whether this is part of a larger political strategy aimed at evoking public sympathy or consolidating voter bases.

Aishwarya Rai Breaks Silence, Calls Family Drama “Political Theatre”

Tej Pratap’s former wife Aishwarya Rai has openly dismissed the entire episode as scripted drama. In a press conference held after Tej’s new romantic link was revealed, Aishwarya alleged that the Lalu family has long protected Tej, even at her expense.

 Key Statements by Aishwarya Rai:

“They’ve known about his relationship for 12 years. Are we to believe Rabri and Lalu didn’t know? It’s all staged.”

“I’ve been blamed again and again. The entire family played along to save their son while destroying my life.”

“They told me to stay silent for the sake of elections. Now I won’t be quiet anymore.”

These revelations have rekindled old wounds, adding a personal dimension to a political controversy.

Timeline of Tej Pratap’s Personal and Political Turmoil

  • 2018: Married Aishwarya Rai, daughter of senior RJD leader Chandrika Rai.

  • 2019: Filed for divorce citing incompatibility; marital disputes turned public.

  • 2021–2024: Made headlines for unorthodox political behavior — dressing as Lord Shiva and Krishna, walking barefoot across constituencies, launching parallel factions.

  • 2025: Expelled from party and allegedly from family.

Yet, the public hasn’t seen any sharp retaliation from him — which only deepens the mystery.

Is This a Political Masterstroke or a Genuine Family Feud?

Political analysts are divided. Some believe the entire episode is crafted to project Tejashwi as the mature, disciplined heir and Tej Pratap as the emotional, sidelined brother — possibly to reach different voter segments.

Others argue this could be a genuine fallout, stemming from personal failures, public controversies, and growing differences in political ideology and discipline within the RJD camp.

Public Sentiment: Sympathy or Suspicion?

Bihar’s political observers and voters remain split. While some sympathize with Tej Pratap for his emotional openness, others suspect a well-scripted political act, especially given the timing — just months before the 2025 Bihar assembly elections.

On social media:

  • #JusticeForTejPratap trends in parts of Bihar.

  • Some users call it “Lalu’s masterstroke”.

  • Others echo Aishwarya’s sentiment — “Stop this political drama.”

What’s Next for Tej Pratap Yadav?

As of now, Tej Pratap has not revealed his next political move. Will he:

  • Launch his own political outfit?

  • Align with a rival party?

  • Rejoin RJD through reconciliation?

No one knows for sure. But his social posts make it clear — he’s not done yet.

The Tej Pratap–Lalu–Aishwarya triangle is more than a personal drama — it’s a lens into how Indian politics blends emotion, optics, and strategy. Whether genuine or crafted, this episode has stirred public opinion, divided loyalists, and added new layers to Bihar’s complex political theatre.

As the 2025 elections near, this story — emotional, strategic, and sensational — may well influence both voter perception and party dynamics.
