KKN Gurugram Desk | The 2025-26 will be presented today in the Legislative Assembly. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will unveil the ‘s financial roadmap for the upcoming fiscal year. This will be his second budget presentation, and expectations are high regarding allocations for employment, women’s welfare, and agriculture.

The total budget size is anticipated to be around ₹3.15 lakh crore, a notable increase from last year’s ₹2.78 lakh crore. With elections on the horizon, this budget is expected to focus on public welfare schemes, infrastructure development, and job creation.

Keeping this in mind, the budget is expected to introduce new schemes for youth employment, education, healthcare, and social security. The state government is likely to increase allocations for job creation, women’s empowerment, and agricultural development.

One of the biggest expectations from this budget is employment generation. The Bihar government has already expanded its target of 10 lakh government jobs to 12 lakh. Additionally, 34 lakh youth are expected to become self-reliant through various skill development programs.

So far, 9 lakh government jobs have been provided, and the government plans to recruit 80,000 more employees across departments, including education and healthcare.

The budget is likely to allocate an additional ₹12,000 crore annually to cover the salaries of new government employees.

With several new road and bridge projects announced during the CM’s Pragati Yatra, major funding will be directed toward rural infrastructure development.
