Bihar Weather Forecast for the Week: Morning Fog, Cold Winds, and Mild Sunshine

Published on

The aftermath of Cyclone Montha has finally subsided in Bihar, bringing much-needed relief to the residents after three days of persistent rainfall and chilly winds. According to the latest reports from the Meteorological Center, the weather in Bihar is expected to return to normal starting Sunday. No further rain is anticipated across the majority of the state, providing a break from the recent wet spell.

Weather in Katihar and Kishanganj

While the rest of Bihar is set to experience clear weather, Katihar and Kishanganj districts may continue to see partly cloudy skies. There is also a chance of light drizzle in these areas. However, the overall weather conditions are expected to improve in the coming days, with most of the state seeing clearer skies and more favorable conditions.

Temperature Drops Across Bihar

In Patna, the day started with partly cloudy skies, but the weather is expected to clear as the day progresses. The Meteorological Center has forecasted a maximum temperature of around 30°C for the day. The minimum temperature is expected to drop by about 2 to 3 degrees Celsius compared to recent days. As a result, cold winds blowing at speeds of 10 to 20 km/h will make the mornings and evenings feel slightly chilly.

A Dry Spell Expected for Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, Bihar will experience dry weather from November 2 to November 5. During this period, residents can expect mild sunshine throughout the day, with cooler temperatures at night. Early mornings in parts of northern Bihar may witness light fog or mist. However, no rain is forecasted in the coming days, and no weather warnings have been issued for the region.

Experts Predict a Drop in Temperatures

Meteorologists have indicated that the remnants of Cyclone Montha have completely dissipated, and there are no new weather systems developing in the Bay of Bengal at the moment. With stable weather conditions in place, experts predict that the clear skies and dry conditions will continue across the state in the coming days. A gradual decrease in temperatures is expected, particularly in the northern districts, signaling the early onset of the winter season.

The Oncoming Winter Season

As November progresses, the shift from a warm to a cooler climate is becoming more apparent. The dry spell and chilly winds are expected to be a precursor to the harsher winter conditions that will soon take hold across Bihar. Residents can expect colder mornings and evenings, with temperatures gradually dropping in the coming weeks. The mild sunshine during the day will provide some respite, but the overall trend points towards colder and drier days ahead.

Impact on Agriculture and Daily Life

The changing weather will likely have significant implications for agriculture in the state. Farmers may need to adjust their schedules for planting and harvesting crops due to the early onset of winter. Additionally, the drop in temperatures and the presence of morning fog may lead to a slight disruption in daily routines, especially in northern districts. Travelers are advised to take precautions during the early mornings, as reduced visibility could pose challenges on the roads.

In summary, Bihar is set to experience a period of dry weather from November 2 to November 5, with temperatures dropping slightly and the mornings becoming cooler. While the cyclone’s impact has ended, the state will continue to see partly cloudy skies in certain areas, with a chance of light drizzle in Katihar and Kishanganj. The gradual decline in temperatures marks the beginning of the winter season, with residents preparing for colder days ahead. Meteorologists expect stable conditions to prevail for the next few days, offering some relief to the people of Bihar after the recent weather disturbances.
