Pakistani Terrorist Sighting in Muzaffarpur? Viral Video from Mohammadpur Village Puts Bihar Police on High Alert

Published on

Bihar police are on high alert after a video surfaced allegedly showing a Pakistani terrorist roaming in Muzaffarpur district. The video, which has gone viral on social media, is reported to be from Mohammadpur village under Sakra police station. The individual seen in the footage is being claimed to be Mo Usman, a wanted Pakistani militant carrying a bounty of two lakh rupees.

Viral Video Creates Panic in Muzaffarpur

According to local reports, the video is around two days old. In the clip, villagers in Mohammadpur were conducting a head-shaving ritual when a bearded man approached them. He reportedly asked for food and even offered to pay money in return. His manner of speaking, locals claim, resembled Pakistani dialects.

After a brief interaction, the man was seen walking towards Pilkhi Pul Chowk and disappeared from the area. Since then, no trace of him has been found. The circulation of this video has triggered widespread concern, especially in light of recent intelligence inputs suggesting that three Pakistani terrorists infiltrated Bihar through Nepal.

Police Investigation and Search Operations

As soon as the video went viral, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sushil Kumar directed all police stations to remain on high alert. Security forces, including local police and paramilitary units, have been deployed for intensive search operations in and around Muzaffarpur.

The Sakra police station in-charge, Raju Kumar Pal, confirmed that the matter was reported and an active search for the suspected individual is underway. The viral video has been shared with law enforcement across the state with instructions to immediately report if the man is spotted.

Authorities are also coordinating with border security forces to prevent any possible escape across the Indo-Nepal border.

Connection with Nepal Infiltration Alert

The viral video comes at a time when Bihar police are already on high alert due to intelligence warnings. Reports earlier this week suggested that three Pakistani terrorists entered India through Nepal and might be hiding in different districts of Bihar.

The suspected militants, allegedly linked with Jaish-e-Mohammed, carry a bounty of two lakh rupees each. Security has been intensified in border districts, especially Motihari and other areas close to Nepal, with Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and district police conducting thorough searches.

The emergence of the Muzaffarpur video has intensified fears that one of the infiltrators may have already made contact with locals.

Villagers’ Delay in Informing Police

According to sources, the villagers did not immediately inform the police after interacting with the suspected terrorist. It was only after the video started circulating widely that officials were notified. This delay has complicated tracking efforts, as the individual may have moved to another district or crossed borders.

Police are urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movement immediately. Special posters and awareness messages have been issued in rural areas to ensure that villagers understand the seriousness of the situation.

Suspicions in Madhubani: Four Detained

Meanwhile, in Madhubani district, police detained four youths suspected of terrorist links. These individuals had arrived in Bihar on a flight from Delhi and were later traced to Shatrupatti village under Ghoghardiha police station.

Security agencies found their activities suspicious and detained them for interrogation. Since Thursday, the four have been held in custody as investigators probe their backgrounds, movements, and possible links to the infiltration alert. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether these individuals are connected to the viral video from Muzaffarpur.

High Alert Across Bihar

The Bihar police headquarters has issued statewide alerts following the dual developments in Muzaffarpur and Madhubani. District administrations have been instructed to maintain strict surveillance, particularly in areas bordering Nepal.

Security forces have intensified checking at bus stands, railway stations, and highways to prevent the suspects from moving unnoticed. Additional patrols have been deployed near sensitive locations, including religious sites, government offices, and crowded marketplaces.

Local intelligence units are working round the clock to verify leads and track movements of anyone matching the suspect’s description.

Public Fear and Media Reaction

The viral video has created an atmosphere of fear among residents of Muzaffarpur and surrounding districts. Many villagers have refrained from stepping out after dark, fearing further encounters.

Media coverage has been intense, with television channels repeatedly showing stills from the video while discussing potential security lapses. Social media platforms are flooded with speculation, though police have urged citizens not to spread unverified claims.

The authorities emphasized that while vigilance is necessary, panic and misinformation could complicate law enforcement efforts.

Experts Warn About Cross-Border Threats

Security analysts have pointed out that Bihar’s proximity to Nepal makes it a vulnerable entry point for cross-border infiltrations. Past incidents have shown that militants often exploit the porous border for movement.

The recent reports of Jaish-linked operatives entering Bihar underline the importance of coordinated security measures between state police, border security forces, and central agencies. Experts believe that the viral video, even if unconfirmed, should be treated seriously as it could be linked to larger infiltration plans.

Political Responses

The development has also triggered political debates in Bihar. Opposition parties criticized the state government, claiming that repeated infiltration alerts highlight serious lapses in border management. They accused the administration of failing to protect citizens from external threats.

On the other hand, government officials assured that every possible step is being taken to track the suspects. They emphasized that law enforcement agencies are fully mobilized and working in coordination with central intelligence agencies.

Community Cooperation Sought

Police have appealed to the public for cooperation. Citizens have been advised to immediately inform local police stations if they notice anyone resembling the man in the viral video. The public has also been cautioned against harboring outsiders without proper verification.

Awareness campaigns are being conducted in villages, urging people not to share unverified videos or rumors that could cause unnecessary panic. The message is clear: community cooperation is crucial in tracking potential threats.

The viral video from Mohammadpur village in Muzaffarpur has put Bihar on high alert amid reports of Pakistani terrorist infiltration through Nepal. While the identity of the individual in the clip remains unverified, the resemblance to wanted militant Mo Usman has triggered intense search operations.

With four suspects already detained in Madhubani and statewide security tightened, Bihar police are treating the matter with utmost seriousness. Whether this incident is directly linked to the broader infiltration alert or an isolated case remains to be seen, but the situation underscores the pressing need for vigilance in border states.

As investigations continue, Bihar waits anxiously for clarity, hoping that law enforcement can swiftly track and neutralize any real threats emerging from this viral video incident.
