Published on

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the exam city details for the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download their exam city intimation slip through the official website upsssc.gov.in. However, it is important to note that this slip is not the admit card. The admit cards will be released separately at a later stage.

Exam City Intimation Slip Download Process

Nearly 25 lakh candidates had applied for the UPSSSC PET 2025, and they were eagerly waiting for the announcement of exam city details. The commission has made it clear that the intimation slip can be accessed by logging in with the candidate’s registration number, gender, and date of birth.

The exam city intimation slip helps candidates plan their travel and logistics in advance. Candidates are advised to download the slip and keep a printed copy for reference. However, they must wait for the official admit card, which will be mandatory for appearing in the examination.

UPSSSC PET 2025 Exam Dates and Shifts

The UPSSSC PET 2025 examination will be conducted on September 6 and 7, 2025, in two shifts on each day. The first shift will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The PET score will remain valid for three years, giving successful candidates the eligibility to apply for multiple Group ‘C’ recruitment exams during this period. This provision is particularly beneficial for aspirants who want to maximize opportunities without retaking the exam every year.

Step-by-Step Guide to Download Exam City Details

To access the exam city intimation slip, candidates need to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website https://upsssc.gov.in.

  2. On the homepage, click on the link labeled Preliminary Eligibility Test Exam City Intimation Details.

  3. Enter registration number, date of birth, and gender details.

  4. Fill in the verification code and submit.

  5. The exam city intimation slip will appear on the screen.

  6. Download and take a printout for future reference.

Posts Requiring UPSSSC PET for Eligibility

The PET exam is a prerequisite for several Group ‘C’ posts in Uttar Pradesh government departments. Some of the key positions for which PET qualification is mandatory include:

  • ANM Mandi Parishad Combined Cadre

  • Revenue Lekhpal

  • Assistant Boring Technician

  • ITI Instructor

  • Combined Technical Service Cadre

  • Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard

  • Gram Panchayat Officer

  • X-ray Technician

  • Agriculture Assistant

  • Junior Assistant in Revenue Department

  • Accountant and Auditor

  • Surveyor in Sugarcane Department

This makes PET a crucial exam for aspirants seeking government jobs in the state.

UPSSSC PET Exam Pattern 2025

The PET exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of the exam will be two hours.

The questions will cover a wide range of topics to test the candidate’s general knowledge, aptitude, and reasoning skills. Each correct answer will carry one mark, while for each incorrect answer, one-fourth mark will be deducted as negative marking.

This system ensures that candidates must be accurate in their answers and avoid guesswork.

Importance of PET for Government Job Aspirants

The PET serves as the foundation for all Group ‘C’ recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. By clearing PET, candidates become eligible to appear for the mains examinations of various posts. With the exam city intimation now available, aspirants can focus on revising their syllabus, practicing mock tests, and strategizing their preparation for better results.

The large number of applicants, nearly 25 lakh, reflects the immense competition. Therefore, candidates need to be thorough in their preparation to secure high scores and improve their chances of selection in subsequent recruitment stages.

The release of the exam city intimation slip for UPSSSC PET 2025 is a crucial step for candidates gearing up for one of the biggest recruitment exams in Uttar Pradesh. With exam dates set for September 6 and 7, 2025, aspirants should now focus entirely on their preparation.

While the admit cards are yet to be issued, downloading the exam city slip ensures that candidates can plan their logistics well in advance. Given the wide range of posts for which PET is mandatory, clearing this exam is essential for anyone aiming to secure a government job in the state.
