With her new position, she will now receive all the benefits and facilities designated for the Chief Minister of the national capital, including salary, official residence, security, free medical treatment, government vehicle, and other perks.

Salary and Allowances of Delhi’s Chief Minister

As per the March 2023 order, the Chief Minister of Delhi is entitled to a monthly salary of ₹1.70 lakh. Rekha Gupta will now receive the same salary structure, which includes:

  • Basic Salary: ₹60,000 per month
  • Assembly Allowance: ₹30,000 per month
  • Secretarial Assistance: ₹25,000 per month
  • Telephone Allowance: ₹10,000 per month
  • Travel Allowance: ₹10,000 per month
  • Daily Allowance: ₹1,500 per day

These financial benefits ensure that the Chief Minister has all the necessary resources to perform her administrative duties effectively.

Official Residence and Vehicle Allowance

Rekha Gupta will be allocated a government residence equipped with all modern amenities. Additionally, as per government policies, she will receive:

  • 700 liters of free petrol per month for her official vehicle.
  • If she chooses to use her private vehicle, she will receive an additional ₹10,000 per month as a fuel allowance.
  • 5,000 units of free electricity per month.

These provisions ensure that the Chief Minister can perform her duties without financial constraints on transportation or accommodation.

Medical Facilities for the Chief Minister

As Delhi’s Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta will have access to free medical treatment at government hospitals and referral hospitals. A dedicated panel of doctors will be responsible for her health check-ups at regular intervals.

She is also entitled to government-provided loans for personal or official requirements, ensuring financial support whenever needed.

Portfolio Distribution in Rekha Gupta’s Cabinet

Following her swearing-in ceremony, Rekha Gupta announced the allocation of portfolios among her cabinet ministers on Thursday evening. She has retained control over 10 key departments, including:

This newly formed cabinet will now focus on implementing policies and addressing key governance challenges in the national capital.

During her first press conference as Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta emphasized that her government’s top priorities include:
