KKN Gurugram Desk | The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) is actively working on the development of an indigenous vaccine for the H5N1 bird flu virus, which, in rare cases, can also infect humans. ICMR has confirmed that virus strains are available at the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune. The research agency is now seeking collaborations with pharmaceutical companies to accelerate the vaccine's development, manufacturing, and commercialization.
