Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated film Son of Sardaar 2 is all set to hit the big screen on August 1, 2025. With its release just around the corner, excitement is building among fans. The first part of the franchise had performed remarkably well at the box office. Expectations from the sequel are naturally high. Now, adding to the excitement, the makers have announced a massive promotional offer for the audience. To attract more footfall on the opening day, the producers are offering a 50% discount on advance ticket bookings. This limited-time deal is expected to drive crowds to cinemas and give the film a strong start. What’s the Son of Sardaar 2 Ticket Offer? In a recent announcement, Jio Studios revealed that moviegoers can book opening day tickets at half the price. The offer is applicable only if viewers use the SOS2 coupon code while booking their tickets on the BMS (BookMyShow) platform. The discount goes up to ₹200, making it one of the biggest launch-day promotions seen in recent times. This aggressive marketing move comes in light of stiff competition from other Bollywood releases currently dominating theaters. Why Such a Big Offer from the Makers? The release of Son of Sardaar 2 comes at a tricky time. Theatres are already running houseful shows of Saiyara, a film starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday. Saiyara has become a blockbuster and is rapidly nearing the ₹500 crore mark. Due to its overwhelming popularity, it is occupying most of the screens across major cinema chains. Adding to the challenge is the looming arrival of War 2, the much-awaited film featuring Hrithik Roshan. Theater owners are already reserving screens for this upcoming giant. Between Saiyara’s current domination and War 2’s future promise, it has become difficult for Son of Sardaar 2 to claim its share of the theatrical space. In this environment, the 50% ticket discount appears to be a strategic decision. By making tickets more affordable, the makers hope to pull in a larger audience on day one. The move may help the film gain early momentum, which is critical when screens are limited. Fan Excitement and Challenges Ahead While the audience seems thrilled with this announcement, the production team is working under pressure. There are concerns about whether the film will get enough screens to reach a wider audience. For now, it’s a wait-and-watch situation for everyone involved. Interestingly, the sequel also brings changes to its cast. In Son of Sardaar 2, veteran actor Ravi Kishan steps into a role that was earlier portrayed by Sanjay Dutt. This casting change has drawn attention, and fans are eager to see how Ravi Kishan performs in a role known for its strong screen presence. Ajay Devgn’s Strategy with Son of Sardaar 2 Ajay Devgn, who has built a reputation for action-packed and family-friendly films, is banking heavily on this sequel. Son of Sardaar 2 carries forward the legacy of its first part, which was loved for its humor, action, and emotional storytelling. The sequel is expected to retain the entertainment quotient while offering fresh twists. However, releasing amid high competition means that box office numbers will depend heavily on the initial response. If the discounted ticket offer leads to packed theatres on day one, the film may manage to build strong word-of-mouth publicity. Who Benefits from the Ticket Discount? At the end of the day, the biggest winners in this ticket war are the audience members. Getting a chance to watch a major Bollywood release at half the cost is a rare opportunity. In the current cinema environment, where ticket prices can be steep, such discounts are welcomed. The offer is available only for a limited period and only on the opening day. Interested viewers must act fast and use the SOS2 promo code while booking on BookMyShow. The pressure is high, the competition is intense, and the screens are few. Yet, with a fan-favorite actor like Ajay Devgn, a solid fan base from the previous film, and a major ticket discount campaign, Son of Sardaar 2 is giving itself every chance to shine. Only time will tell whether these efforts will translate into box office success. But what’s clear is that the battle for screens, audience attention, and ticket sales is heating up this weekend.
