During this spiritual stay, he will participate in religious ceremonies, perform traditional rituals, and meet with devotees who have been eagerly awaiting his arrival. His presence in Gaya is being considered spiritually significant, especially as it coincides with the holy Pitru Paksha Mela. Spiritual Significance of the Visit According to the announcement, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri will perform the Tripindi Shraddha, Pind Daan, and Tarpan rituals during his stay in Gaya. These ceremonies, central to Pitru Paksha, hold immense importance in Hindu tradition, as they are performed to honor and liberate ancestors. Along with these rituals, an Ekadash Bhagwat Katha will also be organized, which will draw large numbers of devotees seeking blessings and guidance. He revealed that his ancestors had also visited Gaya in the past to perform Pind Daan and Tarpan. Their signatures still exist in the centuries-old registers maintained in the holy city. This continuation of ancestral traditions adds deeper spiritual value to his visit. Planned Location of Rituals and Katha While the exact location for the Ekadash Bhagwat Katha and Pind Daan rituals has not been officially disclosed, sources suggest that Pandit Shastri will reside at a private resort in Bodh Gaya. The resort is expected to serve as the central venue for religious activities during his visit. It is also the same place where, in 2024, he had conducted similar rituals and recited Bhagwat Katha with his disciples. The arrangements in Gaya indicate a large turnout of devotees. The organizers are preparing for significant crowds, as people from across Bihar and neighboring states are expected to gather for the religious ceremonies and discourses.
