The Indian Red Cross Society Bhabua, Bihar honored several journalists for their work as a front line warrior in this corona pandemic. The Red Cross society also provided a sufficient number of face masks and sanitizers to protect the journalist and their family members.
As per the report published in a regional news website, journalists were honored at the program chaired by senior journalists Bageshwari Prasad Dwivedi and Sunil Kumar Tiwari at the district branch office. On this occasion, Bureau Chief of Hindustan Bhabhua Sanjay Kranti said that journalists are working with full devotion to protect society and the nation. But no governmental or non-governmental organization organized any program in their safety and respect and neither gave any help to them.
Mr. Kranti thanked the Red Cross District Branch for this. Hindustan Mohania in-charge Dr. Laxman Sharan Singh called the Red Cross initiative historic and thanked the officials and volunteers for it. Prabhat Khabar in-charge Vikas Kumar said that this honor ceremony will become a inspiration. Jitendra Kumar, in charge of Dainik Bhaskar, expressed appreciation for the initiative of Red Cross, and expressed grief over the role of government and attitude of the society towards journalists in this global epidemic. At the same time, ETV India District Correspondent Kaushal Kumar Srivastava hoped that the Red Cross initiative will inspire the system and social organizations across the country about the safety and support of journalists. Journalist Ashok Kumar, Brajesh Dubey, Pramod Kumar etc. expressed the hope that this Red Cross’s initiative create a positive start and that might lead a new chapter.
Journalists have to take Precautions
At the last, senior journalist Bageshwari Prasad Dwivedi briefs about the challenges and solutions, he also adviced new generation journalists to work with precaution. Red Cross Management Committee member and senior journalist Sunil Kumar Tiwari said that, this program is first program by any social organization in the country for journalists. He appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the district branch Bhabhua during the epidemic. Secretary Prasoon Kumar Mishra thanked the journalist and praised their efforts.
Red Cross treasurer Prem Prakash Pandey, state representative Chhote Lal Shukla, managing committee member Gopal Prasad, senior members Arvind Kumar, Suresh Agrawal, Jai Kumar Tiwari, Tuntun, Vikas Tiwari, Shanti Devi etc. volunteers were present in the program.
