Oppo has confirmed the highly anticipated launch of its new Reno 14 series in India, which is set for July 3, 2025, at 12 PM IST. After its global unveiling at Malaysia’s OOO Music Festival on July 1, the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro are ready to hit the Indian market, aimed at photography enthusiasts, mobile content creators, and tech-savvy users. Oppo is focusing heavily on AI-powered features and advanced camera setups to set these devices apart in the competitive sub-Rs 50,000 smartphone market.

Reno 14 Series: Tailored for Content Creators and AI Enthusiasts

The Oppo Reno 14 series is designed with content creators in mind, bringing top-tier hardware along with AI-driven imaging capabilities. These smartphones are positioned to cater to individuals who want professional-grade photography and videography in their pocket, while also offering excellent performance for everyday use. With Oppo’s emphasis on photography, video capabilities, and AI features, these devices are expected to appeal to a wide range of users in the mid-premium segment.

Oppo Reno 14: Powerful Features at a Competitive Price

The Oppo Reno 14 will feature a 6.59-inch OLED display, ensuring rich colors and deep blacks. With a 120 Hz refresh rate, the screen will provide an ultra-smooth experience, making it ideal for gaming, scrolling, and multimedia consumption. The peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits ensures that users can view content clearly even in bright sunlight.

Under the hood, the Reno 14 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, providing excellent performance for multitasking, gaming, and content creation. The device will come equipped with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, offering users ample space for apps, media, and large video files.

When it comes to photography, the Reno 14 is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP primary sensor (Sony IMX882), an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto lens. The front camera is also impressive, with a 50 MP sensor, ensuring crystal-clear selfies and video calls.

Powering the Reno 14 is a 6,000 mAh battery, with 80W fast charging support to keep you connected and productive throughout the day. With this combination of a powerful camera setup, high-refresh-rate display, and long-lasting battery, the Reno 14 promises to deliver exceptional value in its price range.

Reno 14 Pro: A Premium Device for Enhanced Photography and Performance

The Oppo Reno 14 Pro takes things a step further with several key upgrades. The device boasts a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display, offering a larger and more immersive viewing experience, perfect for content consumption and gaming. This Pro version is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, delivering faster speeds and improved efficiency compared to its non-Pro counterpart.

In terms of storage, the Reno 14 Pro also offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, providing ample space and performance for users who need more power for content creation, gaming, and multitasking.

Battery life is further enhanced with a 6,200 mAh battery, which supports 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, allowing for faster charging times and more flexibility. Additionally, the Reno 14 Pro offers IP69 water and dust resistance, making it a more durable option for users who need a phone that can withstand various environments.

AI and Camera Features: A Leap Forward for Mobile Imaging

Both the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro stand out in terms of camera capabilities, designed to cater to content creators who require high-quality photos and videos. The Reno 14 Pro is equipped with a quad 50 MP rear camera array, featuring the OmniVision OV50E sensor for capturing stunning shots. The camera system also includes 3.5x optical zoom via the Samsung JN5 sensor and an industry-first 120x digital zoom for detailed shots from a distance.

Oppo has incorporated AI-powered imaging features to elevate the camera experience, including:

  • AI Editor 2.0: To enhance photos automatically.

  • AI LivePhoto 2.0: For creating dynamic and engaging live photos.

  • AI Perfect Shot: To ensure that every shot is optimized for the best quality.

  • AI Voice Enhancer: To improve the quality of audio during video recordings and calls.

These advanced features make the Reno 14 Pro a perfect choice for mobile photographers, videographers, and influencers who want professional-level results without carrying bulky camera equipment.

Design: Sleek and Premium

Both the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro share a sleek, iPhone-inspired design, featuring flat-edged frames and OLED displays for a premium feel. The devices are expected to be available in a variety of colors, offering users a range of aesthetic choices. The slim design, combined with high-end materials, gives these smartphones a premium look and feel, making them an attractive option for those who value both form and function.

Software: ColorOS 15 Based on Android 15

Both devices in the Reno 14 series run on ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15. This latest version of Oppo’s custom software offers a smooth user experience, with several AI-powered enhancements, performance improvements, and new features that make everyday use more intuitive and enjoyable. The software also offers various customization options, allowing users to personalize their experience.

Price and Availability

The Oppo Reno 14 is expected to be priced at around ₹39,999, making it an attractive option for those looking for a mid-premium device with top-tier specifications and AI-enhanced features. On the other hand, the Reno 14 Pro is expected to be priced between ₹53,999 to ₹55,999, reflecting its enhanced camera capabilities, larger display, and more powerful hardware.

With a strong focus on AI, photography, and performance, the Oppo Reno 14 series is poised to disrupt the sub-Rs 50,000 smartphone market in India. The Reno 14 offers excellent value with its impressive camera setup, fast charging, and vibrant display, while the Reno 14 Pro elevates the experience with its larger screen, enhanced camera features, and more powerful performance.

Oppo’s focus on mobile content creators, photography enthusiasts, and users looking for AI-driven features positions the Reno 14 series as a strong contender in its category. The virtual launch on July 3, 2025, will also showcase Oppo’s Pad SE tablet, marking a multi-device push for the brand. With competitive pricing and cutting-edge features, the Reno 14 series is set to make a significant impact in the Indian smartphone market.
