Raghopur Seat Suspense

Despite widespread speculation that Prashant Kishor might contest from Raghopur, home constituency of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, the seat was not included in the second list. Party officials have indicated that a third list may be released shortly, which could resolve the Raghopur mystery.

Campaign and Strategy

Prashant Kishor launched his padyatra campaign from Raghopur on October 11, vowing to defeat Tejashwi Yadav “as decisively as Rahul Gandhi’s loss in Amethi.” His strategy focuses on grassroots governance failures and promises of inclusive representation. The second list’s diverse mix of academics, lawyers, doctors, and community leaders underlines Jan Suraaj’s goal to field candidates with both local credibility and professional expertise.

Election Timeline

  • Phase 1 Voting: November 6, 2025

  • Phase 2 Voting: November 11, 2025

  • Results Declaration: November 14, 2025

As the Jan Suraaj Party cements its candidate roster, it positions itself as a formidable third force, challenging both the NDA and Mahagathbandhan alliances with its promise of participatory politics and social justice.
