KKN Gurugram Desk | The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released a crucial notice regarding the NEET PG 2025 exam, which has undergone a series of changes following directions from the Supreme Court. Candidates planning to appear for this postgraduate medical entrance test must now take urgent action as per the latest instructions.

The exam, originally scheduled for June, has now been postponed to August 3, 2025, and will be conducted in a single shift. The number of exam cities has also been increased significantly to ensure better accessibility for candidates across the country.

NEET PG 2025 Postponed: New Exam Date and Schedule

As per the official announcement, NEET PG 2025 will be held on August 3, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, in one shift only. The decision to postpone the exam was taken to ensure adequate time for logistical and administrative preparedness.

NBEMS has confirmed that the NEET PG admit card will be released on July 31, 2025, and the results will be announced on September 3, 2025.

Exam Cities Increased to 233 Across India

In its notice released on June 12, 2025, NBEMS has confirmed that the number of NEET PG exam cities has been expanded to 233 nationwide. This includes 9 cities in Madhya Pradesh alone. The increase in the number of centers is aimed at reducing travel distance and ensuring convenience for candidates.

This move is especially helpful for students from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, who often face difficulty in traveling long distances for the exam.

Exam City Re-selection Mandatory: Window Open From June 13 to June 17

All registered candidates are required to reselect their exam city through the official portal. The exam city selection window opens on June 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM and will remain open until June 17, 2025, at 11:55 PM.

The city selection will be based on a “first come, first serve” basis, meaning the earlier you log in and choose your city, the more likely you are to get your preferred center.
