KKN Gurugram Desk | Recently, a digitally altered poster surfaced online, depicting Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. The image, which claimed to be a teaser for an upcoming biopic, quickly went viral, sparking debates and concerns over religious sensitivities.
In response, Aamir Khan’s official spokesperson issued a statement clarifying the situation:
“The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI-generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project. He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Please don’t fall for fake news.”
The spokesperson emphasized that the actor has not participated in any film portraying Guru Nanak and urged the public to be cautious of misleading content circulating on social media platforms.
Section 2: ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Set for June 20, 2025 Release
Amidst the controversy, Aamir Khan has confirmed the release date for his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, scheduled to hit theaters on June 20, 2025.
Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is described as a spiritual successor to Khan’s 2007 critically acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par. While the earlier film focused on a child’s struggle with dyslexia, the new installment delves into themes of mental health and inclusivity, presenting them through a sports drama narrative.
The film features Aamir Khan in the role of a basketball coach who mentors a team of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Genelia Deshmukh stars alongside Khan, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
The trailer for Sitaare Zameen Par has been certified UA by the Central Board of Film Certification and is set to be released on May 1, 2025, alongside Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2.
Aamir Khan’s swift response to the AI-generated fake poster underscores the challenges posed by misinformation in the digital age. As the actor prepares for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, audiences can look forward to a film that continues his legacy of addressing socially relevant themes with sensitivity and depth.
