SBI Clerk Prelims Admit Card 2025 Released

Published on

The State Bank of India has released the SBI Clerk Prelims Admit Card 2025. Candidates appearing for the Junior Associate preliminary examination can now download their hall tickets from the official website sbi.co.in.

The admit card is a mandatory document for entry to the exam hall. Applicants must use their registration number and password to log in and download the hall ticket. Without the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination.

SBI Clerk Prelims 2025 Exam Dates

According to the official notification, the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2025 will be conducted on 20 September, 21 September, and 27 September.

This year, the examination is being held to fill 6589 clerk vacancies across the country. Among these, 5180 vacancies are for SBI Clerk Regular posts, while 1409 posts are categorized as SBI Clerk Backlog vacancies. The release of the admit card marks the beginning of the final phase of preparation for thousands of candidates across India.

SBI Clerk 2025 Selection Process

The recruitment process for SBI Clerk posts includes multiple stages. Candidates must qualify in every stage to secure final selection.

The first stage is the online preliminary examination. Candidates who clear the prelims will be shortlisted for the online mains examination. After qualifying in the mains, candidates will need to undergo a language proficiency test. The local language chosen by the candidate at the time of application will be tested.

This multi-step process ensures that only the most competent candidates are selected for the SBI Clerk posts.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The SBI Clerk Prelims 2025 examination will be conducted online and will last for one hour.

The question paper will have a total of 100 objective-type questions. The paper will be divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.

The English Language section will carry 30 marks, while the Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability sections will carry 35 marks each. Candidates will be allotted 20 minutes for each section.

Every incorrect answer will result in a penalty of 0.25 marks. This negative marking system makes accuracy as important as speed. Candidates are therefore advised to attempt only those questions where they are confident of the answer.

Importance of the Admit Card

The SBI Clerk Prelims Admit Card 2025 is more than just an entry pass. It contains vital details such as candidate name, roll number, exam date, time, reporting time, and exam center details.

Candidates must carefully verify all the information on the admit card. Any discrepancy should be reported to the authorities immediately. The admit card also mentions the important guidelines that candidates must follow during the examination.

Carrying the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof is mandatory for every candidate. Documents such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License can be carried as valid identity proof.

How to Download SBI Clerk Prelims Admit Card 2025

Candidates can easily download the admit card by following the steps given below.

First, visit the official website sbi.co.in. On the homepage, click on the link for the SBI Clerk Prelims Admit Card 2025.

Next, enter your registration number and password in the login window. Once submitted, the admit card will appear on the screen.

Check all details carefully before downloading the admit card. After verification, download and save the admit card for future use. Candidates must also take a printout of the admit card for entry into the examination hall.

Examination Day Guidelines for Candidates

The State Bank of India has issued certain guidelines for candidates appearing in the exam. Candidates must reach the examination center well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter the hall.

Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, and smartwatches are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Candidates are also advised not to carry any study material, notes, or books with them.

Only admit card, photo identity proof, and essential stationery such as pens are allowed. Face masks and sanitizers may be required depending on exam center protocols. Following instructions from invigilators is mandatory.

Importance of Prelims in the Selection Process

The preliminary examination is the first step toward securing a position as an SBI Clerk. Although qualifying in nature, it is crucial as it determines eligibility for the main examination.

The competition for clerk positions is intense, as lakhs of candidates apply for the limited number of posts. Performing well in the prelims boosts confidence for the upcoming mains exam.

Candidates are advised to manage time effectively during the exam. Since each section is timed separately, focusing on accuracy and speed is essential.

SBI Clerk Mains and Language Test

Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will advance to the main exam. The mains will be more comprehensive and will test reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude, English, and computer knowledge.

Those who clear the mains will need to pass the local language test. This test ensures that selected candidates are proficient in the regional language of the state where they will be posted. Candidates who have already studied the local language in their schooling may be exempted from this test.

Why Candidates Must Not Miss Downloading Admit Card Early

Downloading the admit card early reduces last-minute stress. Technical glitches or internet issues close to the exam date can cause unnecessary panic. Candidates should also familiarize themselves with the exam center location beforehand.

By downloading the admit card in advance, candidates get enough time to arrange required documents and prepare for travel. The admit card must be kept safe until the recruitment process is completed.

The release of the SBI Clerk Prelims Admit Card 2025 marks a significant milestone for aspirants. With examination dates approaching fast, candidates must download their admit card from sbi.co.in and prepare carefully for the test.

The examination offers 6589 vacancies across India, making it one of the most competitive banking recruitment drives this year. With proper preparation, strict adherence to guidelines, and careful attention to details on the admit card, candidates can approach the exam with confidence.

The SBI Clerk examination is not just about securing a job. It is about beginning a career in India’s largest public sector bank, which offers stability, growth, and respect. The journey starts with the preliminary exam, and the first step is downloading the admit card without delay.
