RRB Group D Exam : Fake Candidate Arrested in Baliyapur for Railway Exam Impersonation

Published on

In a significant development on Thursday, a fake candidate was caught while attempting to take the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D exam on behalf of another individual at the Palani Amagada Digital Zone Exam Center in Baliyapur. The impersonator, identified as Santoo Kumar, was arrested and sent to jail by the police. According to Station House Officer Satyajeet Kumar, Santoo Kumar had appeared for the RRB Group D exam under the name of Pintoo Kumar. The exam invigilators grew suspicious on Wednesday and immediately initiated an investigation. Upon confirming their doubts, they reported the incident to the police. The police questioned the accused and later took him into custody. During the investigation, the accused revealed that he was from Shambhugan, Barh, in Bihar, while the original candidate, Pintoo Kumar, hailed from Munger.

RRB Group D Exam 2025: Candidates Express Disappointment Over New Vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Board is set to release a notification soon regarding 22,000 vacancies for the RRB Group D positions. The Railway Ministry has given approval for the recruitment of 22,000 candidates for 11 different posts under Group D (Level 1). It is expected that the application process will begin by the end of December or the first week of January. It’s worth noting that the NTPC 12th-level and Graduate-level exams for 2025 have already been conducted, and the recruitment for ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) and Technician posts, as well as Isolated posts, has been completed. Now, candidates are eagerly awaiting the Group D recruitment. However, many candidates have expressed disappointment regarding the new vacancies. They argue that there are over 1.40 lakh vacant positions in Level-1 posts within the railway sector, making it unclear why such a small number of vacancies are being offered. This has sparked widespread discussions on social media, with candidates tagging the Railway Ministry and raising questions about the decision.

Questions Raised on Eligibility for RRB Group D Exam 2025

One of the major concerns among candidates is regarding the eligibility criteria for the upcoming RRB Group D exam. There are questions about whether candidates with an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification will be eligible or if the exam will be open to those who have completed their 10th grade. Candidates are particularly confused about whether all 10th-grade pass candidates will be allowed to apply for all positions or if certain roles will require ITI certification. This ambiguity has led to confusion and uncertainty, with candidates eagerly awaiting clarification from the Railway Ministry.

Vacancies in RRB Group D Exam 2025

As part of the new Group D recruitment process, the Railway Ministry has allocated vacancies to various zones across India. In the Eastern Central Railway, 993 vacancies have been allocated, and the South Eastern Railway has been given 1,199 vacancies. The engineering department has the highest number of vacancies, with a total of 12,500 posts approved. Within the engineering department, 11,000 vacancies have been created for Track Maintainer Grade-4. Additionally, 5,000 positions for Traffic Point B have been created, along with 1,500 positions for Assistant (Signal and Telecommunication), 1,000 positions for Assistant (C and W), 500 positions for Assistant Operation, 200 positions for Assistant Loco Sheet, 800 positions for Assistant (TRD), 300 positions for Assistant (P-Way), 600 positions for Assistant (Track Machine), and 600 positions for Assistant (Bridge).

These posts have been created in various departments, with a focus on maintaining railway infrastructure and operations across the country.

Future Prospects and Expectations for Railway Recruitment

Despite the concerns raised by candidates regarding the limited number of vacancies, the 22,000 new posts are still seen as a crucial opportunity for thousands of job seekers. As the railway sector continues to grow and modernize, these new positions are expected to offer stability and career growth for successful candidates. However, many are calling for a larger number of vacancies to be announced, given the high number of current vacancies in the railway sector. The delay in recruitment for such a vast workforce has created frustration among candidates, who believe the ministry should address the backlog and provide more opportunities for aspiring candidates.

In conclusion, the RRB Group D exam continues to be a topic of significant interest and debate. While some candidates are hopeful about the new recruitment process, others feel that the limited number of vacancies is inadequate given the scale of the railway sector’s needs. The situation remains dynamic, and it is expected that the Railway Ministry will provide further clarity on eligibility criteria and the application process in the coming weeks. For now, candidates eagerly await the release of the official notification and the chance to compete for one of the 22,000 positions.
