The Rajasthan NEET UG 2025 counselling process for 85 percent state quota MBBS and BDS seats has entered an important stage. The counselling authority has released the revised merit list for the state quota admissions, increasing the number of shortlisted candidates. The updated list now includes a total of 14,452 names, compared to 13,731 in the first list. This revision has added 721 more candidates, giving them an opportunity to participate in the seat allotment process.

Revised Merit List for Rajasthan NEET UG 2025

The revised merit list has been published for students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the 85 percent state quota. Candidates can visit the official website, rajugneet2025.com, to download the complete PDF file of the list. By entering their name or NEET 2025 roll number, they can check if they have been included.

The top position in the revised merit list remains unchanged. Raghav Garg, who secured the 245th rank, continues to hold the first spot, just as he did in the initial list. This consistency at the top highlights the competitive nature of this year’s NEET UG counselling in Rajasthan.

Increase in Number of Eligible Candidates

In the first merit list, 13,731 candidates were included. The revised list now contains 14,452 candidates, with the addition of 721 new names. This expansion offers more aspirants the chance to secure admission into Rajasthan’s government and private medical colleges.

Last year, only 12,489 candidates were part of the counselling process, which means there has been a notable rise in participation this year. This growth reflects both the increasing number of NEET UG aspirants and the state’s commitment to accommodating eligible candidates.

Document Verification for Various Categories

Document verification is currently underway for candidates under specific categories, including Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Defence, Paramilitary, and NRI quotas. This verification process is being conducted at SMS Medical College in Jaipur.

Candidates who have already completed their verification in earlier stages do not need to undergo the process again. For others in the specified categories, today is an important opportunity to get their documents verified and secure their place in the counselling process.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment Schedule

The choice filling process will take place from August 12 to August 14. During this period, candidates will be able to select their preferred colleges and courses based on their merit and available seats. This step is crucial, as it directly impacts which institution and program a candidate will be allotted.

The seat allotment process will be conducted from August 15 to August 17. The results of this round will be announced on August 18, 2025. Candidates who receive an allotment will then need to complete the admission formalities as per the instructions issued by the counselling authority.

Number of Seats Available in Rajasthan

According to the seat matrix released on August 1, 2025, Rajasthan has a total of 5,668 MBBS seats and 1,442 BDS seats available for counselling under the state quota. Out of these, 3,618 MBBS seats are in government medical colleges. Additionally, 11 private medical colleges in the state collectively offer 1,800 MBBS seats.

This distribution gives candidates a variety of options, ranging from government-run institutions to private colleges. The availability of seats across different types of institutions ensures that more students can find a place in medical education this year.

First Round Registrations

For the first round of counselling, a total of 14,452 candidates have registered. This figure matches the number of candidates included in the revised merit list, indicating that all those who registered have been considered for this stage.

The counselling authority is working to ensure a smooth process for all participants. By increasing the number of candidates in the merit list, the authority has created more opportunities for students, especially those who narrowly missed inclusion in the first list.

Importance of the Revised Merit List

The release of the revised merit list is a significant development for many NEET UG aspirants in Rajasthan. It has given hundreds of students a second chance to compete for MBBS and BDS seats. For those who have been newly added to the list, the upcoming choice filling and seat allotment rounds are crucial steps toward securing admission.

Candidates are advised to carefully review the list, confirm their details, and prepare their documents in advance. With strict timelines for each stage, being organized will help avoid last-minute issues.

Impact on Medical Education in Rajasthan

The increase in eligible candidates and the steady rise in available seats over the years are positive signs for medical education in Rajasthan. More students will now have the opportunity to pursue their dream of becoming doctors or dentists within the state.

This year’s process also reflects better transparency and inclusiveness, as the counselling authority has made sure to update the list promptly and inform candidates through the official website.

Advice for Candidates in the Revised List

Those included in the revised merit list should focus on the upcoming choice filling stage. It is important to research the available colleges, understand their facilities, and prioritize preferences accordingly. The seat allotment process is competitive, and well-informed choices can make a significant difference in final placements.

Candidates should also stay updated with announcements from the official website and ensure they meet all deadlines. Missing any stage could result in losing the chance for admission in this round.

The release of the revised Rajasthan NEET UG 2025 merit list has added excitement and urgency to the counselling process. With more candidates in the race and a structured schedule ahead, the coming days will be crucial for all participants.

The counselling process will move swiftly from document verification to choice filling, followed by seat allotment and results. For many candidates, these steps will determine where they begin their journey in medical education.

As the state continues to expand its medical education infrastructure, such inclusive and transparent processes will play a vital role in producing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
