KVS and NVS Recruitment 2025 : Important Notice Regarding Qualification and Application Deadline

Published on

The recruitment process for teaching and non-teaching positions at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has seen some significant updates. One of the major changes is that the eligibility criteria for both organizations have now been standardized, meaning candidates can now apply for both KVS and NVS vacancies simultaneously. This adjustment in rules has also led to an extension of the online application deadline, which has now been extended to December 11, 2025.

Key Changes in Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

According to the latest notification from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the eligibility for positions such as Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in subjects like Hindi, English, and Commerce, Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in subjects including Hindi, English, Math, Science, Social Science, Physical Education, and Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) has been made uniform across both KVS and NVS. This means that candidates can now apply for teaching and non-teaching roles in both organizations using the same eligibility criteria.

The notice further states that candidates who previously applied for only one of the organizations—KVS or NVS—will now be given an opportunity to submit their applications for the other organization as well. The last date for online applications has been extended to December 11, 2025. For detailed information, applicants are advised to visit the official websites of CBSE, KVS, and NVS.

Recruitment for Over 14,000 Vacancies

The KVS and NVS recruitment for teaching and non-teaching positions includes a total of 14,967 vacancies. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official websites at www.CBSE.gov.in, kvsangathan.nic.in, or navodaya.gov.in and clicking on the available application link. After the Tier-1 exam, candidates will be required to appear for Tier-2, which will consist of both objective and descriptive questions. The Tier-2 exam will carry 100 marks and will be followed by an interview worth 100 marks.

The final merit list will be determined based on the weightage of Tier-2 marks (85%) and the interview marks (15%). Only 10 times the number of candidates for each category will be shortlisted for Tier-2 after the Tier-1 exam. Further shortlisting will be done after Tier-2, with 3 to 5 candidates selected per post.

The Tier-1 exams for KVS and NVS recruitment will be held on January 10 and 11, 2026.
