Published on

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced a major recruitment drive for 714 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) positions in various departments of the Delhi government. This recruitment offers a significant opportunity for candidates with a 10th-grade education. The online application process will begin on December 17, 2025, and will continue until January 15, 2026. Candidates can apply through the official DSSSB website at dsssbonline.nic.in.

Vacancy Details and Reservation

The DSSSB MTS recruitment is for a total of 714 vacancies. Out of these, 302 positions are unreserved. The remaining positions are reserved for specific categories: 212 for OBC (Other Backward Classes), 70 for SC (Scheduled Caste), 53 for ST (Scheduled Tribe), and 77 for EWS (Economically Weaker Sections). This offers a diverse range of opportunities for various candidates across Delhi.

Age Limit and Relaxation

Candidates applying for the MTS positions must be between the ages of 18 and 27 years as of January 15, 2026. However, there are age relaxations for candidates from specific categories. OBC candidates are given a relaxation of up to 3 years in the upper age limit. SC and ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years. This ensures that a wider group of candidates can participate in the recruitment process.

Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for the DSSSB MTS recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. The educational qualification will be considered as of January 15, 2026. This makes the recruitment accessible to a large number of candidates who have completed their secondary education.

Salary Structure for Selected Candidates

The selected candidates for the MTS positions will receive a salary in the pay level 1, ranging from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 per month. This salary structure places the positions under Group C, providing a stable income for the successful candidates.

Selection Process for DSSSB MTS Recruitment

The selection process for the DSSSB MTS recruitment is based on a single-tier written examination. The examination will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), which will be completed in a duration of two hours. The questions will cover a variety of subjects, including:

  • General Awareness

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning

  • Arithmetic and Numerical Ability

  • Hindi Language and Comprehension

  • English Language and Comprehension

Each subject will have 40 questions, making a total of 200 questions. It is important to note that there will be negative marking in the examination. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. This system encourages candidates to answer questions carefully.

Skill Test Requirement

In addition to the written exam, a skill test may be conducted depending on the job requirements. This could include an endurance test, driving test, or a trade test, based on the specific nature of the MTS role. The skill test will assess candidates’ practical abilities related to the tasks they are expected to perform on the job.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

To ensure that only the best candidates are selected, the DSSSB has set minimum qualifying marks for different categories. These marks are as follows:

  • General/EWS: 40%

  • OBC (Delhi): 35%

  • SC, ST, PwBD: 30%

These qualifying marks will be used to determine which candidates move forward in the selection process. It is important for candidates to meet the minimum marks in order to be considered for the next steps in the recruitment.

Application Fee

Candidates from different categories will need to pay an application fee, which is as follows:

  • General, OBC, EWS candidates: ₹100

  • SC, ST, PwBD candidates: ₹0

  • All Female candidates: ₹0

This application fee structure is designed to encourage applications from a broad demographic while providing relief to candidates from reserved categories and female applicants.

Important Dates and How to Apply

The online application process will begin on December 17, 2025, and the last date to submit applications is January 15, 2026. Candidates must visit the official DSSSB website (dsssbonline.nic.in) to apply for the positions. It is essential to complete the application form carefully and upload the necessary documents as per the instructions on the website.
