The Bihar School Examination Board announced the Bihar STET Result 2025 on Monday. With the declaration, the long wait of lakhs of candidates has finally ended. The result announcement has also cleared the way for the upcoming BPSC TRE 4.0 teacher recruitment process. Candidates who qualified in STET 2025 will now be eligible to participate in the next recruitment stage.

The result was officially released by the chairman of Bihar School Examination Board, Anand Kishor. He confirmed that the overall performance of candidates remained satisfactory this year. The board ensured transparency and timely publication of results for all candidates.

Over 2.56 Lakh Candidates Qualify STET 2025

A total of 2,56,301 candidates have successfully cleared the STET 2025 examination. Among the qualified candidates, 1,04,167 are women and 1,52,134 are men. The data reflects strong participation from both genders across Bihar. The examination witnessed large-scale participation from teaching aspirants aiming for government jobs.

In total, 4,42,214 candidates appeared in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 combined. This included 1,78,407 women and 2,63,807 men candidates. The pass percentage shows competitive performance amid growing interest in teaching careers.

Overall Pass Percentage Nears 58 Percent

According to the board, the overall pass percentage in STET 2025 stood at 57.96 percent. Officials described the success rate as balanced and encouraging. Candidates can check and download their results from the official website bsebstet.org. The result portal has been made user-friendly to reduce technical difficulties.

The STET 2025 examination was conducted in Computer Based Test mode. The exams were held between October 14 and November 16, 2025. The board ensured smooth conduct across all examination centers during this period.

Cutoff Marks Defined for All Categories

The board released category-wise qualifying marks for STET 2025. Candidates from the general category needed at least 50 percent marks. The cutoff for backward class candidates was fixed at 45.5 percent. Extremely backward class candidates required 42.5 percent marks to qualify.

For women, persons with disabilities, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribe candidates, the cutoff was set at 40 percent. These cutoffs were decided following existing reservation norms. The board maintained uniform standards across subjects and categories.

Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme Explained

The STET 2025 question paper consisted of 150 multiple-choice questions. Out of these, 100 questions were based on subject knowledge. The remaining 50 questions tested teaching aptitude and related skills. Each question carried one mark, making the total paper of 150 marks.

There was no negative marking for incorrect answers. This pattern allowed candidates to attempt all questions freely. Many candidates benefited from this structure, especially those unsure about certain answers.

Examination Conducted Across Nine Districts

The STET 2025 examination was organized across nine districts including Patna. A total of 23 examination centers were set up for the test. The board ensured adequate arrangements for computer-based testing. Strict monitoring helped maintain discipline and fairness throughout the examination process.

Candidates reported smooth entry procedures and proper technical support at most centers. This improved overall exam experience compared to previous years.

Strong Performance in Paper 1

Paper 1 was conducted for candidates aspiring to teach classes 9 and 10. A total of 2,46,415 candidates appeared in this paper. Among them, 1,07,229 were women and 1,39,186 were men candidates.

In Paper 1, 1,54,145 candidates successfully qualified. The overall pass percentage for Paper 1 stood at 62.56 percent. This made Paper 1 comparatively higher scoring than Paper 2.

The board conducted Paper 1 examinations across 16 subjects. Candidates from science, mathematics, languages, and social sciences participated actively. Subject-wise performance remained consistent across most disciplines.

Paper 2 Results Show Moderate Success Rate

Paper 2 was conducted for candidates seeking eligibility for classes 11 and 12. A total of 1,95,799 candidates appeared in Paper 2. This included 71,178 women and 1,24,621 men candidates.

Out of them, 1,02,156 candidates were declared successful. The overall pass percentage for Paper 2 was recorded at 52.17 percent. The board conducted examinations for 29 subjects under Paper 2.

The moderate pass percentage reflects the higher difficulty level of senior secondary subjects. Many candidates appeared from specialized streams requiring advanced subject knowledge.

Eligibility Opens Door for BPSC TRE 4.0

Candidates who have cleared STET 2025 are now eligible for BPSC TRE 4.0 recruitment. This recruitment drive will be conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission. The recruitment aims to fill thousands of teaching posts in government schools.

STET qualification is mandatory for participation in this recruitment process. Qualified candidates are advised to keep their documents ready. Official notifications for TRE 4.0 are expected soon.

Candidates Advised to Download Scorecards

Qualified candidates should download and securely store their STET scorecards. The scorecard will be required during future recruitment stages. Candidates should verify all personal details printed on the result document.

In case of discrepancies, candidates must contact the board authorities immediately. Timely correction will help avoid issues during recruitment verification.

Growing Interest in Teaching Careers

The high number of applicants reflects growing interest in government teaching jobs. Job security and social respect continue to attract candidates. Bihar remains one of the largest recruitment hubs for school teachers.

With the STET 2025 result now declared, competition is expected to intensify further. Aspirants are advised to stay updated with official announcements and recruitment schedules.

The declaration of Bihar STET Result 2025 marks a crucial milestone for teaching aspirants. With over 2.56 lakh candidates qualifying, the focus now shifts to BPSC TRE 4.0 recruitment.
