India’s security agencies have successfully thwarted a major terrorist conspiracy, uncovering large quantities of explosives in multiple locations. After seizing explosives in Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities recently discovered over 350 kilograms of ammonium nitrate in Faridabad, Haryana. The seizure points to a planned terrorist attack, with two doctors linked to the terror network.

According to security reports, the ammonium nitrate, along with two assault rifles, was found at the residence of a doctor in Faridabad. The authorities have arrested Dr. Adil Ahmad and Dr. Mujammil Shakeel in connection with the explosives. Dr. Adil, a senior doctor from the GMC Hospital in Anantnag, was captured in his hometown, while Dr. Shakeel, who was studying in Faridabad, was also apprehended. Authorities suspect another doctor involved in the network, who remains at large.
Faridabad’s Police Commissioner, Satyendra Kumar, confirmed that this discovery was part of a joint operation between the Haryana Police and the Jammu and Kashmir Police. He revealed that 360 kilograms of combustible material, identified as ammonium nitrate, had been recovered. However, he clarified that this was not RDX.
ISI Connection Emerging in Terrorist Network
In a developing story, security agencies have uncovered links to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, in the ongoing investigations. On Sunday, Gujarat ATS arrested three suspected terrorists, including an MBBS doctor. This individual is said to have connections with the ISI, which is further alarming for the intelligence community.
Faridabad police found explosive materials, including three magazines of ammunition, eight large cartridges, and three suitcases containing explosives. They also discovered 20 timers, batteries, and other equipment intended for creating bombs. These findings confirm that a significant terror operation was being planned. Authorities also seized a large quantity of ammonium nitrate, which is commonly used in the manufacturing of bombs.
How the Terror Network Was Uncovered
The security forces had been tracking the network for some time. On October 27, posters linked to the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammad appeared in Srinagar, signaling potential terrorist activity. Two days later, CCTV footage revealed the involvement of Dr. Adil Ahmad. He was later arrested in Saharanpur on November 6.
Following his arrest, Jammu and Kashmir police located a locker in Anantnag containing an AK-47 assault rifle and more explosives. This led investigators to Faridabad, where the vast stockpile of ammonium nitrate was discovered.
This extensive operation highlights the growing concern over terrorist cells operating across different regions, with highly educated individuals such as doctors participating in these dangerous activities. Authorities are continuing their investigations to dismantle the network fully and prevent further threats to national security.
