Tej Pratap Yadav Loses Temper After Slogan ‘Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar’

Published on

As Bihar prepares for elections, a dramatic scene unfolded at a public rally in Jehanabad. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, was addressing supporters in Ghosi when a young man suddenly raised the slogan “Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar.” The unexpected slogan appeared to irritate Tej Pratap, who immediately scolded the youth in front of the crowd.

Tej Pratap’s Sharp Reaction

The young man’s attempt to support Tejashwi Yadav with the slogan did not sit well with his elder brother. Tej Pratap, visibly upset, told the boy not to create disturbances in his meeting. He asked him if he belonged to the RSS and warned that police could detain him if he continued.

Tej Pratap further added that governments do not belong to one person but to the people. He said that arrogance leads to downfall, and those who act with pride would eventually fall. In a harsh tone, he also warned the youth that if he continued such “nautanki,” he would struggle to find employment.

Different Paths in the Yadav Family

The incident comes at a time when RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has repeatedly endorsed Tejashwi Yadav as the next chief ministerial candidate from the party. Tejashwi himself is currently leading a voter rights campaign and targeting the NDA government with strong criticisms.

However, Tej Pratap Yadav, who has often distanced himself from party leadership and his younger brother, seems to be treading his own political path. He has launched “Team Tej Pratap” and is conducting his own election rallies across Bihar. His independent stance has frequently made headlines, showing divisions within the Yadav political family.

Political Context and Reactions

The raised slogan “Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar” has been popular among Tejashwi’s supporters, symbolizing a push to project him as Bihar’s next chief minister. But Tej Pratap’s angry response highlights the ongoing rift between the two brothers.

Tejashwi continues to gain prominence as the face of RJD, while Tej Pratap is determined to maintain his own identity in the political field. Observers note that this public clash of narratives may confuse RJD supporters and weaken the party’s unified message ahead of elections.

Message from Tej Pratap’s Rally

In his rally speech, Tej Pratap stressed that power belongs to the people, not to any individual leader. He argued that focusing on one face undermines the principle of democracy. His statement can be seen as a veiled criticism of the party’s singular focus on Tejashwi as chief ministerial candidate.

The confrontation with the young man reflected Tej Pratap’s frustration with being sidelined in the party’s power politics. By dismissing the slogan, he attempted to assert his own role and importance.

Impact on Bihar Politics

The incident in Jehanabad has already become a talking point in Bihar’s political circles. Supporters of Tejashwi believe the slogan reflects people’s demand for change, while Tej Pratap’s reaction has raised questions about unity within the Yadav family.

With elections nearing, the contrasting strategies of Tejashwi and Tej Pratap could influence voter perception. While Tejashwi is banking on his leadership as a youth icon, Tej Pratap is striving to establish an alternative narrative.

The clash over a slogan in Ghosi may appear minor, but it underlines deeper divisions in the RJD. Tej Pratap Yadav’s outburst against “Abki Baar Tejashwi Sarkar” reveals his dissatisfaction with the current party direction and his brother’s growing dominance.

As Lalu Prasad continues to support Tejashwi as the party’s chief ministerial face, Tej Pratap’s independent campaigns suggest an ongoing tug-of-war within the family. The outcome of this internal rivalry could play a decisive role in shaping RJD’s performance in the Bihar elections.
