Strategic Route and Accessibility
The route selection via Gorakhpur, Thawe Junction, and Dighwa Dubauli makes this train particularly valuable for travelers in eastern Uttar Pradesh and western Bihar. It provides direct connectivity to Delhi NCR, which sees a huge inflow of migrant workers, students, and tourists during the summer break.
According to Ashok Kumar, the Public Relations Officer of Varanasi Railway Division, this move is in response to long-standing demands for more direct services to Delhi from north Bihar. The official notification has already been released and booking is now open.
Booking and Reservation
Passengers can book their tickets through:
-
The IRCTC official website and app
-
Authorized railway booking counters across India
Advance reservation is strongly advised due to the limited number of weekly trips and the expected high demand.
Passenger Advisory and Tips
-
Check live train status before travel through NTES or IRCTC platforms.
-
Carry valid ID proof for reserved class travel.
-
Reach the station at least 30 minutes prior to departure.
-
Follow all railway safety and hygiene protocols during travel.
This special train between Chhapra and Anand Vihar Terminal addresses a crucial seasonal need, bridging a transportation gap in one of the country’s most densely traveled corridors. It is expected to ease congestion, reduce waitlists on regular trains, and offer passengers a more streamlined travel experience.
By prioritizing regional access, adding useful halts, and offering a mixed class setup, Indian Railways once again proves responsive to the evolving demands of the Indian public during peak travel seasons.
