As the day of counting approaches, significant changes have been made to the traffic management system in Muzaffarpur to ensure smooth operations during the election results. The counting for the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections will take place on November 14 at the Market Committee building located in Ahiyapur. In light of the expected heavy traffic and crowds, the authorities have implemented several measures to streamline movement and ensure an orderly process. These changes include restrictions on heavy vehicles, designated entry points, and parking spaces for election officials, candidates, and media personnel.

Traffic Restrictions and Routes for Election Counting Day

To maintain a smooth flow of traffic on counting day, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering the area around the counting venue. This decision has been made keeping in mind the potential crowds of candidates, supporters, and media personnel, who are expected to gather around the Market Committee counting venue. This will help avoid congestion and facilitate a hassle-free counting process.

The vehicles of election officials and personnel will be directed to specific entry points and parking areas. Entry for counting officers and staff will be allowed only through Gate No. 1 of the Market Committee building. This gate will be the main entrance for all election personnel involved in the counting process.

Candidates and election agents will be allowed to enter through Gate No. 2. Media personnel, who will be covering the event, will also use Gate No. 2 for entry. This separate entry for media representatives will help manage the flow of individuals into the venue and ensure that all those involved can access their respective areas without interference.

Parking Arrangements for Officials, Candidates, and Media

For smooth parking arrangements, election personnel and officers will park their vehicles in the identified parking areas located between Zero Mile and Gate No. 1. These parking spaces will be set up on both sides of the road, with proper barricading in place to ensure that the vehicles do not block any pathways or traffic routes. Additionally, all the Assistant Election Officers will park their vehicles in the designated parking space between Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 2.

For higher-ranking officials and election observers, separate parking arrangements have been made inside the Market Committee premises. This will allow easy access for senior officials while keeping the traffic congestion to a minimum. It is important to note that these arrangements have been made specifically for the counting day to ensure that all individuals have easy access to their designated spots while maintaining order and security.

Alternative Routes for Vehicles Arriving from Different Directions

The authorities have also made changes to the regular traffic routes to help manage the movement of vehicles around the counting venue. Vehicles coming from Bakhri Mor will be redirected to Ahiyapur Chowk, passing through Sahabajpur towards Zero Mile. This route will help alleviate the traffic pressure around the counting site. Similarly, vehicles coming from Dadra Pul, SKMCH, and Akhada Ghat Pul will be restricted from entering the Market Committee counting venue area. These roads will be off-limits for non-essential vehicles, ensuring smooth movement for those involved in the counting process.

However, essential services have been kept outside of these restrictions. Ambulances, police vehicles, and other emergency service vehicles will be allowed to pass through the restricted areas to ensure there are no delays in providing necessary services.

Designated Parking Areas for Candidates and Election Agents

Candidates and election agents will also be required to park their vehicles in designated parking spaces. For vehicles arriving from Bakhri Mor, the parking area will be located on both sides of the road near Gate No. 2, heading towards Bakhri Mor. This area will be clearly marked for easy identification. Similarly, for election agents coming from Akhada Ghat, their parking spots will be on the left side of the road near Zero Mile.

Election agents arriving from Dadra Pul and SKMCH will park their vehicles in designated parking areas along both sides of the road from Zero Mile towards SKMCH. These parking arrangements will help avoid congestion and allow for a smooth flow of traffic in and around the counting area.

Ensuring a Smooth Election Result Process

The changes in traffic management and parking arrangements have been carefully planned to accommodate the large number of people expected at the counting venue. The authorities have taken every step to ensure that the counting process takes place without any disruptions. The security measures, traffic restrictions, and separate entry points will help maintain order and prevent unnecessary delays.

As the election results are awaited, it is crucial for all involved, including election officials, candidates, media, and the public, to follow the designated routes and parking arrangements. This will contribute to a smooth and efficient counting process.

The preparation and coordination by the local authorities reflect the importance of ensuring a well-organized election result day. These changes will also allow the public and candidates to access the venue without facing unnecessary delays or traffic bottlenecks.
