Bihar Weather Report: Rising Cold Winds in Bihar Increase Chill; People Turn to Warm Clothing and Blankets

Published on

The cold wave has arrived earlier than expected in Bihar this year, with the chill already making its presence felt across the state. Despite November being only halfway through, residents are experiencing significant cold, especially during early mornings and late evenings when cold winds are sweeping through the region. The harsh winds are causing people to feel the chill more intensely, prompting them to take out their warm clothes and blankets. During the day, dense fog and haze have reduced the effect of sunlight, adding to the discomfort.

Drop in Temperature Across the State

According to weather reports, temperatures in most districts of Bihar are steadily dropping. The minimum temperature across the state has been recorded between 11°C and 15°C, while the maximum temperature has ranged from 25°C to 31°C. On Tuesday, Patna recorded a minimum temperature of 12.8°C. In some areas like Madhubani block in West Champaran and Nauhatta in Rohtas, the temperature dropped further, reaching as low as 11.5°C. While the cold wave has not yet been officially declared by the authorities, the chilly winds are already giving people a taste of the harsh cold that is to come. The fog, which is increasing daily, is also making the mornings colder.

Dry Weather for the Next 7 Days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that the weather will remain dry for the next 6 to 7 days, with no significant rainfall expected in the region. However, morning fog will persist, ranging from light to moderate intensity. Weather experts suggest that the cold will intensify further after November 13, with temperatures expected to drop by 1-2°C due to the cold winds blowing from northern India. This could lead to even more chilly conditions in the coming days.

People Turn to Warm Clothing and Blankets

With the sudden drop in temperature, people have started to take out their winter clothes, quilts, and blankets. On the streets and in local neighborhoods, people have started lighting small bonfires to keep themselves warm. The number of people crowding around tea stalls in the early mornings and evenings has also increased, as they seek warmth with hot beverages. At hospitals, the number of patients affected by the cold has risen, especially among the elderly, children, and those already suffering from other health conditions.

Health experts have issued warnings advising people to take extra precautions, particularly the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing illnesses. They suggest that people avoid stepping out early in the morning, wear warm clothes, and consume balanced meals to help their bodies cope with the cold.

Intense Cold Expected in the Coming Days

The weather department predicts that the cold will become even more severe in the coming days, and Bihar may be fully engulfed in cold weather by the second half of November. With temperatures continuing to drop, the state is likely to experience a significant chill over the next few weeks. The combination of low temperatures, fog, and cold winds will make it feel much colder, and residents are advised to stay prepared for the intensified cold wave.

In conclusion, Bihar is set to experience a tough winter this year, with early cold waves already making a significant impact. As temperatures continue to fall, people will need to adapt by using warm clothing, blankets, and other measures to stay comfortable. The coming days will bring further cold, and residents should stay alert to weather updates and take necessary precautions to protect their health.
