Details of Bihar Board Exam Dates:
According to the official announcement from BSEB, the Intermediate (Class 12) exams will be held from 2nd February to 13th February 2026. These 12 days will cover exams for all three streams – Science, Commerce, and Arts – according to the set schedule. The Matriculation (Class 10) exams will follow shortly after the completion of the Intermediate exams. The Matric exams will begin on 17th February 2026 and end on 25th February 2026.
Incorporating Modern Technology:
This year, along with the exam dates, the Bihar Board has introduced an innovative step. Students will now be able to obtain information regarding their exams through an AI-based chatbot. This is the first time in Bihar that the board is incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into its exam system. The move aims to make it easier for students to access exam-related details promptly and efficiently.
Compartmental and Special Exams in April:
Bihar Board President Anand Kishore, while releasing the 2026 Annual Examination Calendar, also provided details about the supplementary exams. Students who, for any reason, are unable to attend the main exams or whose results are unsatisfactory will have the option to appear for compartmental and special exams. These exams will be conducted between April and May 2026.

Current Application Status:
As of now, over 15 lakh students have applied for the Matriculation exams, and over 13 lakh students have registered for the Intermediate exams. The number of applicants is expected to rise as the registration deadline approaches. Students who have not yet filled out the forms can do so until 3rd December 2025. The Bihar Board has issued instructions to all schools to ensure that they update their student lists on time to avoid any student being left out.
