KKN Gurugram Desk |  The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the Bihar Board Exam 2025 schedule for both Intermediate (Class 12) and Matric (Class 10) students. The Intermediate exams will be conducted from February 1 to February 15, 2025, while the Matriculation exams are scheduled from February 17 to February 25, 2025.

In preparation for the exams, BSEB has released strict guidelines to ensure a smooth and fair examination process. Among the key regulations, students will not be allowed to wear shoes and socks inside the exam hall, and they must wear slippers instead.

With nearly 12.90 lakh students appearing for the Intermediate exams, over 1,500 examination centers have been set up across Bihar. The board has also provided clear instructions regarding entry timing, emphasizing punctuality and discipline.

Bihar Board Exam 2025: Key Guidelines and Restrictions

1. Dress Code: No Shoes or Socks Allowed

One of the most significant changes in this year’s Bihar Board Exam is the strict ban on shoes and socks inside the examination hall. According to the official guidelines issued by BSEB:

  • Students must wear slippers to the exam hall instead of shoes or socks.
  • Any student arriving in shoes and socks will not be permitted to enter the examination center.
  • This rule is implemented as a security measure to prevent unfair practices and ensure transparency.

2. Exam Schedule and Entry Timings

BSEB has introduced strict entry rules for students appearing for the Intermediate and Matric exams. According to the guidelines:

  • The first shift of the exam will begin at 9:30 AM.
  • The second shift will start at 2:00 PM.
  • Students must arrive at least 30 minutes before the exam starts to be allowed entry.
Shift Exam Timing Latest Entry Time Entry Start Time
First Shift 9:30 AM – 12:45 PM 9:00 AM (30 mins before) 8:30 AM (1 hour before)
Second Shift 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM 1:30 PM (30 mins before) 1:00 PM (1 hour before)
  • Students arriving late will not be allowed to enter the exam center.
  • To avoid missing the exam, students should arrive at least one hour before the exam starts.
  • The board has strictly instructed all exam centers to close the gates 30 minutes before the exam begins.

Why Has BSEB Banned Shoes and Socks?

The Bihar Board has implemented the no-shoes-no-socks rule to prevent any unfair means during the exams. In the past, authorities have encountered cases of cheating where students allegedly used hidden notes or electronic devices inside their shoes or socks. To eliminate any possibility of malpractice, this dress code restriction has been enforced across all examination centers.

Additionally, BSEB has instructed all invigilators and exam supervisors to conduct thorough security checks at the entrance to prevent the entry of any unauthorized materials.

Security Measures at Bihar Board Exam Centers

The Bihar Board has taken several additional security measures to ensure a fair and transparent examination process:

  • CCTV surveillance will be installed at all examination centers to monitor students and prevent cheating.
  • Mobile phone usage is strictly prohibited inside the exam hall for both students and invigilators.
  • Special flying squads will conduct surprise inspections at various centers.
  • All students must carry their admit cards, failing which they will not be permitted to enter the exam center.

Tips for Bihar Board Exam 2025 Aspirants

To avoid any last-minute confusion or stress, students appearing for BSEB Intermediate and Matric Exams should follow these tips:

  1. Arrive Early: Reach the exam center at least one hour before the exam starts to complete security checks and avoid last-minute hassle.
  2. Wear Slippers: Ensure that you follow the dress code rule by wearing slippers instead of shoes and socks.
  3. Carry Necessary Documents: Bring your Bihar Board Admit Card 2025 and other required stationery.
  4. Follow COVID-19 Protocols: If any health guidelines are in place, such as mask-wearing or social distancing, ensure compliance.
  5. Do Not Carry Banned Items: Avoid bringing mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any kind of notes to the examination hall.

What Happens If a Student Arrives Late?

According to the latest Bihar Board guidelines, students must enter the exam center 30 minutes before the exam begins. If a student arrives even a minute late, they will not be allowed to enter.

To prevent delays, students should:

  • Plan their travel in advance and leave home well before the reporting time.
  • Check the exam center location a day before to avoid confusion on the exam day.
  • Keep all exam essentials (admit card, stationery, and slippers) ready the night before the exam.

Bihar Board 2025 Exam: Important Dates

Students appearing for the Bihar Board 2025 Exams must remember the following dates:

  • Intermediate (Class 12) Exam: February 1 – February 15, 2025
  • Matric (Class 10) Exam: February 17 – February 25, 2025
  • Practical Exams: As per the schedule provided by respective schools.

With over 12.90 lakh students appearing for the exams, strict security protocols and adherence to guidelines are crucial to ensuring a fair examination process.

The Bihar Board Exam 2025 is one of the most significant academic events for students in the state. With strict guidelines, including the ban on shoes and socks, strict entry timings, and enhanced security measures, BSEB aims to conduct a fair and transparent examination.

Students are advised to follow all instructions carefully to avoid any inconvenience on exam day. By arriving early, wearing the correct dress code, and carrying necessary documents, students can ensure a smooth exam experience.

With proper preparation and adherence to guidelines, BSEB Intermediate and Matric candidates can perform well and achieve academic success. Best of luck to all aspirants!
