Bhojpur Mourns as Martyred Soldier Hareram Kunwar’s Body Returns Home Draped in Tricolour

A wave of grief swept through Bhojpur on Saturday as the mortal remains of soldier Hareram Kunwar returned to his native village. The tricolour-draped coffin arrived at Nathmalpur village in Barhara block, bringing the entire area into mourning. Villagers stood along the roads in silence, paying tribute as the martyr reached home for the last time.

Hareram Kunwar was martyred while on duty in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The news of his sacrifice had already left the district in shock. The arrival of his body turned grief into an overwhelming reality for his family and fellow villagers. Every face reflected sorrow mixed with pride.

Village Immersed in Grief as Final Journey Begins

As the coffin entered Nathmalpur, emotional scenes unfolded across the village. People from nearby areas gathered to pay their respects. Elderly residents, women, and children stood with folded hands. Many could not hold back their tears.

The atmosphere was heavy with silence and sorrow. Hareram Kunwar was remembered as a disciplined and humble individual. Villagers said he carried pride for his village wherever he served. His loss was felt as a personal tragedy by the community.

Family Overwhelmed by Loss

Family members were inconsolable on seeing the tricolour-covered body. Kunwar’s wife, Khushboo, broke down repeatedly. She said her husband had promised to always remain by her side. She added that he chose duty over personal happiness.

Relatives and neighbours tried to console her. The pain of separation was visible in every moment. Kunwar’s father paid a tearful tribute, saying his son served the nation with courage. His words reflected pride mixed with unbearable grief.

Children’s Tribute Leaves Crowd Emotional

An emotional silence spread when Kunwar’s younger son, Adarsh, saluted his father. The gesture moved many to tears. The child stood still, showing respect beyond his age. The moment captured the cost of sacrifice borne by families.

Kunwar’s eldest son, Priyanshu, stood beside elders during the rituals. He prepared to perform the last rites of his father. Villagers described the scene as heartbreaking yet deeply inspiring. The family’s strength resonated across the crowd.

Patriotic Chants Echo During Final Procession

As the procession moved from the village, patriotic slogans echoed in the air. Chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Shaheed Amar Rahein” were raised repeatedly. The slogans reflected collective respect and national pride.

The coffin was carried with honour and dignity. Flowers were showered along the route. Many villagers joined the procession quietly. Grief and pride walked side by side during the final journey.

Last Rites to Be Performed With Full State Honours

The last rites of Hareram Kunwar will be held at Mahuli Ghat in Bhojpur. The cremation will take place with full state honours. Thousands of people are expected to attend the ceremony.

Army officers will render the final salute to the martyr. District officials and local representatives will also be present. Floral tributes will be offered before the cremation. Priyanshu will light the funeral pyre following military protocol.

Army and Administration Pay Respects

Army personnel accompanied the body throughout the journey. They maintained ceremonial discipline and honour. Their presence symbolised respect for a fallen soldier.

District administration officials also paid tributes. Local representatives stood with the family and villagers. Authorities assured the family of continued support. They said the sacrifice would always be remembered.

Village United in Mourning and Pride

Residents of Nathmalpur said the loss felt deeply personal. Many recalled conversations with Kunwar before his deployment. They remembered him as calm and dedicated to service.

The village remained subdued throughout the day. Several shops stayed closed as a mark of respect. Black ribbons and flags were seen at many homes. The entire area observed silence in honour of the martyr.

Bhojpur Salutes Its Brave Son

The return of Hareram Kunwar’s body left Bhojpur in sorrow. At the same time, a strong sense of pride was visible. People said the district had given a brave son to the nation.

Residents said such sacrifices must never be forgotten. They offered prayers for Kunwar’s soul. Many said his courage would inspire future generations. His name will remain etched in the village’s memory.

Sacrifice Remembered Beyond the Village

Community leaders said the martyrdom would be remembered for generations. They said Kunwar’s story would inspire young people. Plans are being discussed to commemorate his sacrifice annually.

The loss highlighted the cost of national security. It reminded people of soldiers guarding the nation’s borders. Hareram Kunwar’s sacrifice stands as a symbol of courage and duty.

Nation Bows to the Fallen Soldier

As Bhojpur mourns, the nation bows in respect. Hareram Kunwar laid down his life in service of the country. The tricolour on his coffin symbolised honour and sacrifice.

While the pain remains with the family, the pride belongs to the nation. Bhojpur will heal with time, but the memory will endure. The sacrifice of Hareram Kunwar will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.
