The commission has provided age relaxation to certain categories. Candidates belonging to BC and EBC categories of Bihar will get three years of relaxation. Women candidates will also receive three years of age relaxation.

Candidates from SC and ST categories will be given five years of relaxation. Persons with disabilities will get age relaxation of up to ten years. These relaxations apply only to Bihar domicile candidates.

The selection process for Panchayat Secretary recruitment will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates will first appear for a preliminary examination. Those who qualify will be eligible for the main examination.

The commission has stated that if more than forty thousand applications are received, the preliminary examination will be conducted. In case of a very large number of applicants, the examination may be held in multiple phases.
