What Led to the Murder?
It is reported that a few months ago, the accused Aman eloped with Nekpal’s sister. Although the girl later returned home, tensions between the two families remained high. The situation escalated when, on Tuesday, Aman and Raja reportedly assaulted Nekpal’s uncle in the absence of Nekpal’s family. This altercation between the two families set the stage for the tragic event that unfolded the following night.
Details of the Murder
On Wednesday evening around 9 PM, Nekpal went to Aman and Raja’s house to resolve the ongoing dispute. What started as a conversation soon turned into a heated argument. During the altercation, Raja, in a fit of rage, pulled out a gun and shot Nekpal at close range in the chest. Nekpal collapsed immediately after being shot. His family quickly rushed him to the district hospital, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police Investigation and Action
Nekpal’s father has accused Aman of not only abducting his daughter but also of now murdering his son. Meanwhile, Nekpal’s mother has expressed frustration with the police, claiming that no action was taken despite her complaints. According to SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh, multiple police teams have been formed to catch the perpetrators, and they will be arrested and sent to jail soon. The police have registered a case and are investigating the murder thoroughly, looking into all aspects, including the possibility of it being linked to a love affair.
