Bihar STET 2025: Application Deadline Extended for Candidates

Published on

There is good news for candidates preparing for the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. If you haven’t yet applied for the exam and thought today was the last date, there is no need to worry. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the application deadline for the STET 2025 exam.

Application Deadline Extended to 5th October 2025

The BSEB has announced an extension for the application deadline of the STET 2025. Candidates can now submit their applications online until 5th October 2025. The application process for the exam had originally started on 19th September, with the last date for application set for 27th September. Now, with the extension, candidates will have additional time to apply for the exam.

Apply Only Through Official Website

The BSEB has made it clear that applications will only be accepted through the official website, https://bsebstet.com. Candidates are advised to visit the website to submit their applications, as no applications will be accepted through other channels. The board has also highlighted the importance of applying early to avoid last-minute issues.

STET 2025: What Does the Exam Offer?

The STET 2025 exam is a significant step for aspiring teachers in Bihar. Those who clear the STET exam will receive a lifetime valid certificate, which will enable them to directly appear for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Exam. This certificate will be a crucial document for those aiming to secure teaching positions in the state.

STET 2025 Application Fees

The application fees for the Bihar STET 2025 have been outlined clearly for the candidates. The fees depend on the number of papers for which the candidate is applying.

  • For One Paper:

    • General/BC/EWS: ₹960

    • SC/ST/PH: ₹760

  • For Both Papers:

    • General/BC/EWS: ₹1440

    • SC/ST/PH: ₹1140

These fees must be paid while submitting the application, and candidates should ensure they make the payment through the correct channels to avoid delays in processing.

Possible Changes in Exam Dates

Earlier, the BSEB had announced that the STET 2025 exam would be held between 12th October and 31st October 2025. The exam schedule will be organized according to different subjects and regions. The exam will be conducted in a fully computerized mode (CBT) to ensure transparency and fairness in the process.

However, due to the extension of the application deadline, there are now chances that the exam dates may be revised. The BSEB may make changes to the exam schedule to accommodate the new deadline and provide candidates with sufficient time to prepare.

Importance of STET in Teacher Recruitment

The STET exam is a vital part of the teacher recruitment process in Bihar. Candidates who pass the STET exam are eligible to participate in the subsequent recruitment process for teaching positions in the state. The STET serves as a benchmark for identifying qualified teachers who are capable of delivering quality education at the secondary school level.

Education Minister of Bihar has expressed the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the education system. By organizing the STET, the government aims to ensure the availability of qualified teachers in secondary schools across the state. This will help improve the quality of education and address the shortage of qualified teachers in the region.

Enhancing the Quality of Education

The STET exam is more than just an eligibility test; it plays a key role in enhancing the overall education system in Bihar. With the proper selection of teachers, the state aims to improve the teaching standards in secondary schools, which will ultimately benefit students and the educational infrastructure.

The extension of the application deadline for the Bihar STET 2025 exam comes as a relief for many candidates who were worried about missing the application window. With the new deadline of 5th October, candidates now have more time to apply and ensure they meet all the requirements for the exam. As the exam dates may change, candidates should stay updated through the official website for any further announcements.

This exam is an important step for those aspiring to become teachers in Bihar, and clearing the STET will give them the opportunity to contribute to the state’s education system. With the extended deadline, candidates can now submit their applications without the stress of a looming deadline.
