SSC CHSL Admit Card 2025: Hall Tickets to Release Soon

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the SSC CHSL Admit Card 2025 very soon. Candidates who have registered for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination will be able to download their hall tickets through their respective regional SSC websites. This year’s recruitment drive has generated immense interest, with lakhs of candidates applying for 3,131 vacancies across various central government departments.

Recruitment Drive Overview

The SSC CHSL 2025 examination is being held to recruit candidates for posts such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) Grade A. According to the official notification, 3,131 vacancies will be filled through this examination cycle.

In comparison, last year’s SSC CHSL 2024 recruitment offered 3,437 positions, for which 34,55,669 candidates had applied. This year’s application process concluded in July 2025, with aspirants from across the country submitting their forms in record numbers.

Examination Schedule

The SSC CHSL Tier I exam for 2025 is scheduled to be held from September 8, 2025, to September 18, 2025. Candidates who qualify Tier I will be eligible to appear for Tier II, which is expected to be conducted in February–March 2026.

The Tier I examination will serve as the preliminary round, with only candidates meeting the cutoff marks progressing to the next stage.

How to Download SSC CHSL Admit Card 2025

Candidates must follow these steps to download their admit cards once released:

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Admit Card” section available on the homepage.
Step 3: Choose your respective SSC region from the given list.
Step 4: Enter your registration ID/roll number and date of birth or password.
Step 5: Click submit to access your SSC CHSL 2025 hall ticket.
Step 6: Download the admit card and take a printout for exam day.

The admit card will contain essential information such as candidate details, exam date, shift timings, venue, and guidelines. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details before the examination.

SSC CHSL 2025 Exam Pattern

The Tier I examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. The paper will be divided into four sections:

  • English Language (Basic Knowledge)

  • General Intelligence

  • Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill)

  • General Awareness

Each section will carry 25 questions, making a total of 100 questions. The examination duration is 60 minutes for most candidates, while PwD candidates will receive 80 minutes.

The paper is designed to test candidates’ basic skills and aptitude across subjects necessary for clerical and data entry roles. Candidates achieving the cutoff marks in Tier I will move forward to Tier II.

This data shows how the vacancy count varies significantly year to year, influenced by retirements, departmental needs, and restructuring within central government offices.

High Aspirations and Competition

Despite fewer vacancies compared to some earlier years, the CHSL exam continues to attract lakhs of aspirants annually. The lure of a central government job, combined with benefits, job security, and career progression, makes the SSC CHSL one of the most competitive examinations in India.

Candidates prepare extensively, often dedicating months or even years to succeed in this recruitment drive. The competition ratio is extremely high, which underlines the importance of meticulous preparation, practice, and awareness of exam strategies.

What Candidates Should Focus On

Ahead of the examination, experts recommend candidates focus on:

  • Strengthening their grasp of basic arithmetic, reasoning, and English grammar.

  • Staying updated with current affairs and general knowledge.

  • Taking mock tests to manage time and improve accuracy.

  • Following exam instructions strictly to avoid disqualification.

With the admit cards expected soon, candidates should also make arrangements to reach their exam centers well in advance and follow all necessary guidelines.
