Over the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 136 mm was recorded in Sonbhadra’s Ghorawal area, followed by 110 mm in Shravasti. Senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh from the Regional Meteorological Centre in Amousi, Lucknow, explained that the favorable conditions for rainfall were created due to a weakening of the low-pressure area over the northern parts of Madhya Pradesh and southern Uttar Pradesh.
