KKN Gurugram Desk | The scorching heat and humidity continue to trouble the residents of Bihar, but there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon as weather conditions are expected to change. As of June 11, 2025, meteorologists have indicated that light rain and gusty winds are likely to provide some respite in various parts of the state, particularly in northwestern and north-central regions of Bihar.

Heatwave Continues Across Bihar

The last 24 hours have seen dry weather conditions across the state, with temperatures soaring between 36.5°C and 42.4°C. The highest temperature of 42.4°C was recorded in Dehri, a town in the Rohtas district. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature ranged from 25.5°C to 32.6°C, with the lowest recorded temperature being 25.5°C in Agwanpur, Saharsa. Muzaffarpur witnessed winds blowing at a speed of 24 km/h, but unfortunately, no rainfall was observed in the region.

The prolonged dry weather, combined with high temperatures and humidity, has caused significant discomfort for the residents, especially in areas like Dehri, which has been the hottest in the state. Despite these uncomfortable conditions, some regions may experience a change in weather later today.

Rainfall Forecast for June 11, 2025

As per the latest weather forecast, light rainfall is expected today in several districts of northwestern Bihar. These areas include West ChamparanEast ChamparanGopalganjSiwan, and Saran. Additionally, there are chances of scattered showers in North-Central Bihar, with districts like DarbhangaSitamarhiMadhubaniMuzaffarpurSamastipurVaishali, and Shivhar set to witness sporadic rainfall throughout the day.

This rainfall will bring much-needed relief to the residents of these areas who have been enduring the extreme heat. However, despite these positive changes in weather, not all districts will experience rain. Some parts of the state will continue to remain dry, especially in the southern regions.

Dry Conditions Expected in Southern and Southern-Central Bihar

The southern and southern-central parts of Bihar are expected to remain dry for the day. Areas such as PatnaGayaNalandaBuxarBhojpurRohtasBhabhuaAurangabadBhagalpurBankaJamuiMunger, and Khagaria will likely not see any rainfall. This extended dry spell in these regions will continue to add to the discomfort, as the high temperatures coupled with the humidity make outdoor activities unbearable for many residents.

Weather Outlook for the Coming Days

Although the forecast predicts some relief in certain parts of the state, the ongoing heatwave is expected to persist for the next few days. Temperatures are likely to stay high, especially in districts like Patna and Gaya, which have been experiencing sweltering conditions. For those living in areas that will remain dry, it’s essential to take precautions against the heat, such as staying hydrated and limiting outdoor activities.

As for the rainfall, meteorologists expect more showers to occur in the coming days, particularly in the northern regions of Bihar. However, these rains are expected to be sporadic and will not provide widespread relief across the entire state. The intermittent nature of the rainfall means that some districts will see heavy rain, while others will remain dry, continuing to grapple with the effects of the heatwave.

Importance of Weather Updates for Bihar Residents

Given the severity of the heat and the potential for sudden changes in weather, it is crucial for residents to stay informed about the latest weather updates. As Bihar’s climate is prone to fluctuations, especially during the monsoon season, keeping track of reliable weather forecasts can help residents prepare for any sudden weather shifts. Being aware of the heatwave’s impact and the forecasted rainfall can make a significant difference in how people plan their daily activities and take safety measures.

In addition, the local authorities are advising people in heat-affected areas to take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related illnesses. Measures like staying indoors during peak heat hours, wearing light clothing, and avoiding excessive physical exertion can help reduce the risk of heat stroke and dehydration.

While the intense heat and humidity continue to affect Bihar, there is some relief on the way in the form of light showers and gusty winds in certain districts. The weather forecast for June 11, 2025, indicates that the northwestern and north-central parts of Bihar are most likely to experience rain, providing some comfort to the residents enduring the heatwave. However, many southern districts will remain dry and continue to face extreme temperatures.

As Bihar braces for fluctuating weather conditions in the coming days, it is important for residents to stay updated with the latest weather reports and take necessary precautions to stay safe in the heat. With the onset of the monsoon season, there is hope that more widespread rainfall will soon bring relief to the entire state, alleviating the heatwave and restoring normalcy.
