Agniveer Recruitment 2025: Online Exams to be Conducted in Three Districts of North Bihar

Published on

KKN Gurugram Desk | The Agniveer Recruitment 2025 under the Indian Army is gearing up for its initial phase in the coming week. The Muzaffarpur Army Recruitment Board has announced that nearly 33,000 candidates from eight districts will participate in the upcoming online examination, scheduled tentatively for the second week of June.

The exam will be held in three key districts of North Bihar—Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Samastipur. This is a significant move in modernizing the army recruitment process and making it more accessible, structured, and transparent.

District-Wise Exam Centers and Participation

The Indian Army has assigned multiple online examination centers across the three districts:

  • Muzaffarpur: 4 centers

  • Darbhanga: 2 centers

  • Samastipur: 1 center

These centers will cater to candidates from the following districts:

  • Muzaffarpur

  • Darbhanga

  • Samastipur

  • Sitamarhi

  • Shivhar

  • Madhubani

  • East Champaran

  • West Champaran

Exam Structure and Format

The online exam for Agniveer 2025 will be conducted in three shifts (slots) every day to accommodate the large number of participants. Here’s how the exam is structured based on trade:

1. Agniveer Tradesman (8th & 10th Pass)

  • Total Questions: 50

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Marking Scheme: 2 marks per question

  • Negative Marking: Applicable

  • Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs)

2. Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper & Technical Categories

  • Total Questions: 100

  • Duration: 100 minutes

  • Marking Scheme: 2 marks per question

  • Negative Marking: Applicable

  • Type: MCQs

Candidates must report one hour before the exam time at their designated online center. Entry will be denied post cut-off time.

Language Options Available for Candidates

To make the examination more inclusive and candidate-friendly, the Indian Army is allowing the test to be taken in Hindi, English, and Urdu. This multilingual approach ensures that aspirants from diverse educational backgrounds can participate without language barriers.

Admit Card and ID Verification

Admit cards for the online exam can be downloaded two days before the scheduled exam date. All details related to the exam timing and venue will be shared with the candidates via:

  • Email

  • SMS on registered mobile numbers

Note: Carrying the original Aadhaar Card is mandatory for entry to the examination center. Candidates must ensure that the details on the Aadhaar match the application form.

After the Online Exam: Physical & Medical Rounds

Once the online test concludes in June, candidates who qualify will move to the next round in July. This includes:

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

To be conducted at Chakkar Maidan, a ground commonly used for army recruitments in the region.

  • Activities may include running, push-ups, long jump, etc.

  • Physical standards will vary by category and age.

2. Medical Examination

Candidates who clear the physical test will undergo a comprehensive medical examination by army doctors.

  • Vision, hearing, physical fitness, and overall health will be assessed.

  • Any pre-existing medical issues may lead to disqualification.

Final Selection and Training

Those who successfully pass all three stages—online exam, PET, and medical exam—will undergo character verification by local police authorities. Only after successful verification will they be sent to designated training centers across India to begin formal army training under the Agniveer scheme.

Why This Recruitment Is Crucial

The Agniveer scheme has brought significant changes in Indian Army recruitment:

  • Technology-driven: Use of online exams increases fairness and transparency.

  • Efficiency: Reduces crowding at physical centers, speeds up results.

  • Inclusivity: Language options and multiple exam locations improve participation.

  • Discipline-oriented: Early medical and character checks ensure only fit candidates progress.

For the eight districts under the Muzaffarpur Army Recruitment Board, this is a major employment opportunity, especially for youth from rural and semi-urban backgrounds.

Key Guidelines for Aspirants

To ensure a smooth experience during the recruitment process, here are important guidelines every candidate must follow:

 Before the Exam:

  • Download the admit card in time.

  • Read all instructions carefully.

  • Carry a valid Aadhaar card (original).

  • Reach the center at least 1 hour in advance.

 During the Exam:

  • Answer with caution due to negative marking.

  • Manage time effectively—do not get stuck on any one question.

  • Follow exam center rules strictly; any malpractice may lead to disqualification.

 After the Exam:

  • Stay updated via official SMS or email.

  • Start preparing for the physical test immediately after the online exam.

  • Keep your documents (educational, identity, domicile) ready for verification.

Local Aspirations and Economic Impact

For North Bihar, particularly in districts like Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, and Samastipur, this recruitment drive is more than just a job opportunity. It offers:

  • Social mobility: Entry into disciplined, salaried government service

  • Financial stability: Regular income and future benefits post-training

  • Skill development: Training in combat, discipline, technology, and leadership

Families in rural Bihar see Agniveer as a gateway to stability and respectability, often putting their hopes on one family member joining the armed forces.
