KKN Gurugram Desk | Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan recently addressed the media, emphasizing the long-standing personal relationship between his family and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s. However, he made it unequivocally clear that this personal rapport does not translate into a political alliance.

“My father Ram Vilas Paswan and Lalu Prasad Yadav shared mutual respect and cooperation. They were peers in their political journey,” said Chirag during a press interaction.

While reporters pressed for comments on a possible election alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) led by Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi Yadav, Chirag distanced himself from such speculations.

Political Relationship Is Separate from Personal Bond: Chirag

Chirag strongly drew a line between personal respect and political ideology.

“Do not measure personal relationships with the yardstick of political alliances. Lalu and Tejashwi stand ideologically at the opposite end. Coming together on the same platform is not possible,” he asserted.

He also extended congratulatory wishes to Tejashwi Yadav on the birth of his son, showing that despite political differences, civil courtesy remains intact.

Call for Special Status to Bihar: Chirag Targets the Centre

Shifting the focus from alliances, Chirag made a pointed demand to the Central Government, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to grant Bihar special category status.

“The development of Bihar cannot progress at full pace unless it receives special state status. I urge the central government and our allies in the NDA to take this seriously,” he stated.

This call aligns with long-standing demands from various Bihar-based parties, including both ruling and opposition factions.
