In response, Aamir Khan’s official spokesperson issued a statement clarifying the situation:

“The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI-generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project. He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Please don’t fall for fake news.” ​

The spokesperson emphasized that the actor has not participated in any film portraying Guru Nanak and urged the public to be cautious of misleading content circulating on social media platforms.​

Amidst the controversy, Aamir Khan has confirmed the release date for his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, scheduled to hit theaters on June 20, 2025.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is described as a spiritual successor to Khan’s 2007 critically acclaimed film Taare Zameen Par.
