This year’s honorees reflect the rich tapestry of India’s heritage and the relentless efforts of individuals who strive to preserve and celebrate it.

Why the Padma Shri Matters

Over the years, the awards have evolved to honor not just well-known figures but also unsung heroes whose work often goes unnoticed. This year’s list is a reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to recognizing the contributions of ordinary people making extraordinary impacts on society.

The honorees represent a diverse spectrum of fields, including arts, culture, literature, sports, social work, and conservation. Their achievements underscore the importance of preserving India’s cultural heritage, advancing social progress, and fostering global connections.
