KKN Gurugram Desk | Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was seriously injured after an attempted burglary at his residence in Bandra (West), Mumbai, during the early hours of Thursday. The intruder reportedly attacked the actor with a knife during a scuffle. Saif is currently undergoing emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital.

What Happened?
The incident occurred around 2:30 AM when the family, including Saif, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children, Taimur (8) and Jeh (4), were asleep. The intruder broke into their Satguru Sharan building home, attempting to rob the property. Saif tried to intervene and protect his house staff when he was attacked with a knife.
Police Investigation Underway
The Mumbai Police confirmed the incident, stating that the intruder fled the scene after the household woke up. The Bandra Police are registering an FIR, and multiple teams have been deployed to track the assailant.
A senior IPS officer revealed,
“Saif Ali Khan is admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. It is unclear if he was stabbed or injured in the scuffle. The Mumbai Crime Branch is also investigating the case.”
Details of Saif’s Injuries
According to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital,
“Saif has six injuries, two of which are deep. One injury is dangerously close to his spine. Surgery started at 5:30 AM, and a team of specialists, including a neurosurgeon, cosmetic surgeon, and anesthetist, are involved.”
- A deep wound on the neck is being carefully examined.
- A piece of the knife was found in Saif’s body during the procedure.
- Despite the injuries, Saif can move his limbs, which suggests his spine remains unharmed.
Hospital sources reported that the actor received 10 stitches for one deep wound. Fortunately, no vital organs were affected.
