The Bihar School Examination Board has announced major changes for the Inter and Matric examinations this year. The board has clearly stated that entry gates at examination centers will remain open for only thirty minutes. Candidates will be allowed entry strictly between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. No student will be permitted after the gate closes. The decision aims to strengthen exam security and ensure smooth conduct across all centers. Officials said strict compliance will be mandatory for every candidate. Students must reach the examination center well before time to avoid last-minute issues. Strict Guidelines Finalized Ahead of Inter Exams Inter examinations will begin from February 2 across Bihar. Preparations were reviewed during a video conference held on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary. Senior officials from administration, police, and education departments attended the review. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on discipline and transparency. Authorities were directed to follow uniform rules at all examination centers. Any deviation will invite strict action. No Mobile Phones Allowed for Monitoring Officials This year, even officials involved in exam monitoring will not carry mobile phones. Officers visiting examination centers must leave their phones inside vehicles. The directive applies to all administrative and inspection staff. Officials said this move will prevent any misuse of communication devices. It will also help maintain fairness during the examination process. The order will be implemented strictly at every center. Increased Number of Examination Centers in the District Inter examinations will be conducted at eighty-one centers in the district this year. Last year, there were seventy-four centers. The increase aims to reduce overcrowding and improve management. The Additional Chief Secretary instructed officials to inform students properly. Candidates must be made aware of all new rules in advance. Any confusion on exam day must be avoided. Students Asked to Reach Centers by 8 am Students have been advised to reach their examination centers by 8 am. Center superintendents have been instructed to display entry timings clearly. Information boards must be placed outside centers in large letters. Entry will start at 8:30 am for the first shift. The main gate will close exactly at 9 am. In the second shift, entry will begin at 1 pm. The gate will close at 1:30 pm sharp. Inter examinations will continue from February 2 to February 13. Authorities said no relaxation will be given under any circumstances. Warning Issued Against Late Entry Attempts All concerned officials must reach examination centers by 8 am. The Additional Chief Secretary issued a strict warning regarding discipline. Candidates attempting forced entry will face serious consequences. If any student tries to enter late forcibly, action will follow. Jumping over boundary walls will be treated as a criminal offense. Police action will be initiated immediately in such cases. Officials said these steps are necessary to maintain examination integrity. Students have been urged to follow instructions carefully. Evaluation Schedule Announced for Inter and Matric Exams The Bihar School Examination Board has finalized the evaluation schedule. Answer sheet checking dates and evaluation centers have been approved. Inter answer sheets will be evaluated from February 27. Matric answer sheet evaluation will begin from March 2. The process will follow strict guidelines issued by the board. Evaluation Centers Identified in the District Five evaluation centers have been set up for Inter examinations. These centers will handle the checking process in a phased manner. Six evaluation centers have been identified for Matric examinations. District Education Officer Kumar Arvind Sinha confirmed the arrangements. He stated that the board has released a provisional list of examiners. Training Workshop Scheduled for Evaluators A training workshop will be held on January 29 for evaluation staff. Center directors, supervisors, and computer teachers will attend. Officials from the Bihar board will also participate. The workshop will provide detailed guidance on evaluation procedures. Evaluators will be trained on marking accuracy and digital processes. Attendance at the workshop will be mandatory. All participants must attend the workshop in Patna. The list of center directors has already been issued. Evaluation Centers for Inter Answer Sheets Inter answer sheets will be checked at selected institutions. These include Chapman Girls Plus Two School, District School, DN High School, Marwari High School, and Mukherjee Seminary School. Officials said security arrangements will be tight at all centers. Entry will be restricted to authorized personnel only. Evaluation Centers for Matric Answer Sheets Matric answer sheets will be evaluated at six locations. These include BB Collegiate School, Vidya Bihar High School, Tirhut Academy School, Prabhat Tara Girls High School, Abeda High School, and Radha Devi Girls High School. All centers will function under CCTV surveillance. Evaluation work will follow board-issued protocols strictly. Report Sought on Boundary Walls Within 24 Hours Following the review meeting, officials sought reports on boundary walls. District Education Officer directed center heads to submit reports within twenty-four hours. The report must detail the condition of boundary walls. Officials must mention if repairs are required. Security gaps must be clearly highlighted in the report. Boundary Issues Found at Two Centers Two examination centers were found lacking proper boundary walls. At one center, a pond exists behind the school building. Another center has a damaged boundary wall. The District Education Officer said repair work is underway. Authorities assured that all issues will be resolved before exams begin. Bihar Board Emphasizes Zero Tolerance Policy The board has reiterated its zero tolerance policy. Any lapse in security or discipline will invite action. Students and officials have been advised to cooperate fully. The aim is to conduct fair and transparent examinations statewide. With strict rules in place, authorities hope to prevent irregularities. The Bihar School Examination Board said all preparations are on track. Students are advised to follow guidelines carefully.
