The President of India has made new gubernatorial appointments for three regions. These include new Governors for Goa and Haryana, and a new Lieutenant Governor for Ladakh. His political career spans over three decades. He was elected seven times to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, serving between 1978 and 2004, and again from 2009 to 2014. Raju also held portfolios like Finance, Planning, Commercial Taxes, and Revenue at the state level. He is known for his administrative acumen and long-standing commitment to public service. Ashok Gajapathi Raju is also the son of Pusapati Vijayarama Gajapati Raju, the last Maharaja of Vizianagaram. Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh, now the Governor of Haryana, is a noted academician. Though not a career politician, Ghosh has served in several educational institutions across India.
