 Eligibility Requirements

  • Grade I (Signal):

    • Educational: B.E./B.Tech, Diploma in Engineering, or B.Sc. in relevant fields (Physics, Electronics, IT, Instrumentation)

    • Age: 18–33 years (as of July 1, 2025)

  • Grade III:

    • Educational: Matric (10th pass) + ITI in relevant trade, or 10+2 (PCM)

    • Age: 18–30 years (as of July 1, 2025)

Age relaxations apply per government norms (OBC/SC/ST/PwBD).

 How to Apply Online (from June 28 to July 28)

  1. Visit rrbapply.gov.in.

  2. Register under CEN 02/2025 – Technician Recruitment 2025.

  3. Log in, fill out the online application, and upload necessary documents:

    • Passport-size photo & signature

    • Educational certificates, ITI/trade certificate

    • Category certificate, ID proof

  4. Pay the application fee online:

    • General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refundable)

    • SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Transgender: ₹250 (fully refundable)

  5. Submit the form and download confirmation/printout.

📝 CBT Pattern – One Stage for Each Grade

Technician Grade I (Signal):

  • 100 MCQs, 100 marks, 90 minutes (+30 min for PwBD with scribe)

  • Subjects:

    • General Awareness – 10

    • Reasoning – 15

    • Computers – 20

    • Mathematics – 20

    • Basic Science & Engineering – 35

  • Negative marking: –⅓ mark per wrong answer

  • Qualifying cutoff: UR/EWS 40%, OBC 30%, SC/ST 25%

Technician Grade III:

  • 100 MCQs, 100 marks, 90 minutes (+30 min for PwBD + scribe)

  • Subjects:

    • Mathematics – 25

    • Reasoning – 25

    • General Science – 40

    • General Awareness – 10

  • Same negative marking and cutoff criteria apply

 Exam Syllabus Overview

Grade I (Signal) exam covers:

  • General Awareness: Current affairs, history, polity, economy

  • Reasoning: Verbal/logical reasoning, coding-decoding

  • Computers: OS, MS Office, internet basics

  • Math: Algebra, geometry, statistics

  • Basic Science & Engineering: Physics, electronics, circuits

Grade III exam includes:

  • Technician Grade III (Level-2): Basic pay ₹19,900 (₹19,900–₹63,200)
