KKN Gurugram Desk | As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, political activities in the state have intensified. Every political party is working on its strategies and alliances to secure victory. In the midst of this, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani has made a significant statement while staking a claim on the Alamnagar seat in Madhepura. He asserted that if the Nishad community strengthens its political presence, they could even secure the Deputy Chief Minister’s position.
On Sunday, while addressing a gathering in Alamnagar, Mukesh Sahani emphasized the strength of the Nishad community in the region. He declared that since a large number of Nishad voters reside in Alamnagar, his party, VIP, should be given the opportunity to contest from this constituency.
Sahani criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for previously breaking his party by poaching four of his MLAs. However, he stated that when the Nishad community has 40 MLAs, such political manipulation would no longer be possible. According to him, if the community unites politically, they can not only safeguard their interests but also aspire to have their leader in a powerful position, including that of the Deputy Chief Minister.
Mukesh Sahani reiterated that his primary goal is to secure reservation for the Nishad community. He urged the community to understand the power of their votes and use it wisely.
He cited Lalu Prasad Yadav as an example, stating that when his community stood by him, he worked tirelessly for their welfare. Sahani urged the Nishad voters to support their own leaders so they can work towards improving their community’s political and social standing.
The VIP chief emphasized that his party has already demonstrated its political strength by electing four MLAs in the previous election. He highlighted that the Nishad community is no longer limited to its traditional occupation of fishing but has now emerged as a key player in state politics.
Sahani encouraged his supporters to choose the right candidates who can fight for their rights, representation, and dignity. According to him, if the Nishad community strategically uses its voting power, it can shape Bihar’s political future.
The Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) in Bihar is yet to finalize its seat-sharing formula. However, Sahani’s claim over the Alamnagar seat has created a new political buzz. His strong statement has added pressure on alliance leaders to recognize the Nishad community’s demand for greater political representation.
The big question remains: How many seats will VIP get in the Mahagathbandhan? With Mukesh Sahani’s aggressive stance, it is evident that he is trying to strengthen his position in Bihar politics before the upcoming elections.
As the Bihar elections draw closer, Mukesh Sahani’s VIP party is likely to push for more seats and political recognition. His focus on reservation, community empowerment, and securing influential positions signals an aggressive campaign strategy.
It remains to be seen whether Mahagathbandhan accommodates VIP’s demands and whether the Nishad community can emerge as a decisive factor in the upcoming polls.
