KKN Gurugram Desk | In a delightful surprise for fans, Bollywood actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan has announced that his critically acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par will be available for free streaming on his newly launched YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies, for a limited period of one to two weeks. This move comes as part of the promotional activities leading up to the release of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, scheduled to hit theaters on June 20, 2025.
The announcement was made during a recent fan interaction event in Mumbai. When a fan expressed difficulty in accessing a particular scene from Taare Zameen Par due to its unavailability on streaming platforms, Aamir Khan responded by stating, “Let’s do one thing. I’ve started a YouTube channel called Aamir Khan Talkies. I’ll ask my team to upload Taare Zameen Par there, free of cost. Let it stay up for a week or two.”
Taare Zameen Par is a poignant drama that explores the life of Ishaan, an eight-year-old boy struggling with dyslexia, and his journey towards self-discovery under the guidance of an empathetic art teacher, played by Aamir Khan. The film was lauded for its sensitive portrayal of learning disabilities and won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare.
The upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par is described as a sports comedy-drama and is considered a spiritual successor to Taare Zameen Par. Directed by R.S. Prasanna and written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, the film features Aamir Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh, Dolly Ahluwalia, and a cast of young talents. The story is expected to delve into themes of inclusivity and personal growth through sports.
By offering Taare Zameen Par for free on YouTube, Aamir Khan not only provides fans with an opportunity to revisit a beloved classic but also sets the stage for the thematic continuation in Sitaare Zameen Par. This approach reflects Khan’s commitment to accessible storytelling and his innovative methods of engaging with audiences.
