The Safdarjung station, which represents the official weather reading for Delhi, recorded 33.5 mm of rainfall, while Lodhi Road received 32 mm, and Pusa station measured 27.5 mm.
The rain spell arrived just in time, as the capital had been experiencing above-normal temperatures and dry conditions over the past few weeks. The sudden change in weather helped cool down the city, improving air quality and bringing respite to residents.
