KKN Gurugram Desk | The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a comprehensive recruitment notification inviting applications for multiple Group A and B positions in various central government departments. With a total of 462 vacancies open, this is one of the largest UPSC recruitment drives of the year.

Candidates eligible and interested in securing a government job through UPSC can apply online through the official website upsc.gov.in. The last date to submit online applications is July 3, 2025, while applicants can print their submitted forms until July 4, 2025.

UPSC Vacancy 2025: Overview of Available Posts

As per the official UPSC notification, the commission is recruiting for the following key positions:

  • Assistant Director

  • Deputy Superintendent Horticulturist

  • Deputy Architect

  • Company Prosecutor

  • Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor

  • Deputy Assistant Director (Non-Medical)

  • Deputy Central Intelligence Officer (Technical)

  • Medical Physicist

  • Scientist ‘B’ (Geology)

  • Junior Mining Geologist

  • Medical Officer

  • Chemist, among others.

These posts are spread across various ministries and departments of the Government of India and fall under both technical and administrative services.

 Eligibility Criteria: Qualification and Age Limit

Each advertised post has a different set of eligibility requirements, including educational qualifications, work experience, and age limits. Interested candidates are strongly advised to download and read the official notification carefully before proceeding with the application.

In general:

  • Technical posts like Scientist ‘B’, Deputy Architect, or Medical Physicist require relevant engineering or science degrees, often with post-graduate qualifications or professional certifications.

  • Specialist Grade III Assistant Professors typically require MBBS with specialization, along with teaching or research experience.

  • Positions like Deputy Superintendent Horticulturist may require a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Agriculture or Horticulture.

  • For legal and administrative roles like Company Prosecutor, a degree in Law (LLB) is typically required.

The minimum age requirement is generally 21 years, with upper age limits ranging from 30 to 45 years, depending on the post and category. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and female candidates.

  • General/OBC/EWS Male Candidates: ₹25

  • Female/SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: Exempted from fee

The fee can be paid via online banking, UPI, debit/credit card, or SBI Challan.
