Important RRB NTPC UG Exam Dates and Details

The RRB NTPC UG Level Exam 2025 is one of the most awaited recruitment exams, and candidates across the country are eagerly awaiting their opportunity to secure positions in the Indian Railways. As per the official notification, the exam will be conducted in multiple shifts and across different locations to accommodate the large number of applicants.

The exam city details will be released 10 days prior to the exam date, giving candidates enough time to make necessary travel arrangements. The admit cards for the RRB NTPC UG Level Exam will be available four days before the scheduled exam date for each candidate. These admit cards will be available for download on the official RRB website and will contain all the crucial details about the examination center and other important instructions.

The RRB NTPC UG Level Exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format. It will be held in multiple phases to ensure that the recruitment process is carried out efficiently and fairly.

Exam Pattern and Selection Process for RRB NTPC UG Level Exam

The RRB NTPC UG Level Exam follows a structured and rigorous selection process. The candidates will have to go through the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT) 1:
The first stage of the exam is the Computer-Based Test (CBT 1), which is designed to assess candidates’ basic knowledge and aptitude. The CBT 1 consists of multiple-choice questions covering a range of subjects such as General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Candidates are required to score well in this stage to progress to the next level of the selection process.

  2. Computer Based Test (CBT) 2:
After clearing the first stage, candidates will move on to CBT 2, which is more advanced and focuses on assessing subject-specific knowledge. This stage evaluates the candidates’ expertise in the field they are applying for, with questions related to specific subjects relevant to the role they have applied for. Like CBT 1, CBT 2 is also conducted in an online format, and it plays a significant role in shortlisting candidates for further rounds.

  3. Skill Test:
For certain technical posts, candidates may be required to appear for a Skill Test after clearing CBT 2. The skill test assesses candidates on their proficiency in specific tasks, such as typing speed or other role-specific abilities.

  4. Document Verification:
Candidates who successfully clear the CBTs and the skill test (if applicable) will be called for document verification. During this phase, candidates will need to provide all the required documents, including educational certificates, identification proof, and other essential documents. Any discrepancy in the documents could lead to disqualification.

  5. Final Merit List:
Based on the performance in CBT 1, CBT 2, and the Skill Test, candidates will be shortlisted for the final merit list. The final selection will be made based on the aggregate performance of the candidates throughout the selection process.
