Speaking to the media on Monday, Roman Babushkin, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Russian Embassy in India, confirmed that the final two squadrons of the missile system are on schedule for delivery by 2025–2026, as per the official contract timeline.

The announcement comes amid heightened regional tensions and follows the successful deployment of the S-400 system during ‘Operation Sindoor’, India’s swift counter-response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack earlier this year.
