In Bihar, the state’s official celebrations were held at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna, where Governor Arif Mohammad Khan unfurled the national flag. The event witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, making it a grand and memorable occasion.
Patna’s Gandhi Maidan hosted a magnificent event featuring 15 colorful tableaux representing various government departments and initiatives. These tableaux showcased Bihar’s progress, cultural richness, and the government’s focus on development. The event included a prize distribution ceremony, where the best tableaux were awarded.
Other notable participants included the Building Construction Department with its presentation of the Bapu Tower, the Cooperative Department showcasing PACS diversification, and tableaux from departments such as Animal and Fisheries Resources, Rural Development, Agriculture, and Art, Culture, and Youth.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar celebrated Republic Day at his official residence, 1 Aney Marg, where he hoisted the national flag. Following the event, the Chief Minister shared his greetings on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, wishing the people of Bihar a happy Republic Day.
In his message, Nitish Kumar reiterated the state government’s commitment to development, equality, and progress. He emphasized the importance of unity and the collective responsibility of citizens to uphold the principles of the Constitution.
The Patna High Court also marked Republic Day with a grand ceremony. Acting Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar hoisted the national flag in the presence of judges, senior advocates, officials, and employees. The celebration included a cultural program organized by court employees, showcasing their talents and patriotism.
